i have a couple ideas/wips that deal with javi after leaving the dea, but those are for a later date…

(also, after i wrote this i realized readers plotline isn’t super normal. imagine that she’s an american expat, met javi while in colombia, moved in with him there, and moved back to the us with him.)

javi left the dea filled with rage. every turn in his last year, there were people, people he was supposed to trust and depend upon, who would stop him.

working with his father for a while was the only thing that helped him calm down.

it was a long process, where you, staying with the peña’s in laredo for the time being, woke up to an empty bed and didn’t see javi until lunch time, when he game in, sweaty and exhausted

usually chucho was scolding him for pushing himself too far and you were never sure when to step in

you always are lunch with him and sat on the couch for an hour or so to watch the news in silence.

you usually ended up asleep on his lap

evenings after chucho went to bed were slow and quiet and intense in a way you never expected

some nights he’d break down and cry and you would just hold him against your chest

other nights you’d explore each others’ bodies, your touch light and full of intent

his hands were firm and sometimes he’d hold you as tight as he could without hurting you and you knew it was because he needed to know you were there and real

he’d wake up sometimes in the middle of the night

after the first few nights where he’d disappear for an hour to walk around the property, you made sure he’d wake you up

you would ask him to tell you about it

when he didn’t want to talk he’d ask you to ramble on about your dreams

after three months, you had started looking around for houses in laredo, not wanting to be a burden on chucho anymore

you told javi one night

“who says we have to stay in laredo?”

you didn’t know how to respond to that

“i thought you wanted to be here with your family”

“i wanted to get away, that’s why i joined…”

he still hadn’t said ‘dea’ since he left. just the mention of it was enough to tick him off.

“oh.”

you asked him where he wanted to go and he didn’t know

“what if we took a road trip? we could spend a month or two just going around the us. seeing what we like. relaxing.”

“…i’d like that.”

you pulled him in closer and pressed a kiss onto his lips

it had been a long time since you had gotten him to agree to something relaxing

“i bet my dad will be glad we’re out of the house for a while,” javier smirked

■ Is very sympathetic about your situation but he doesn’t baby you or pity you, he just wants to help you however he can. If there’s something he can do to make you feel better or comfort you he’ll be happy to, even if it’s just cuddling with you and watching movies

■ He doesn’t try to act like he understands what it’s like or like he knows how it feels, because he doesn’t but he is understanding of the fact that you are going through some thing painful and upsetting and will do what he can to ease your pain,

■ It can even push him to learn about what it’s like and read about phantom limb pain, for he can possibly understand better and do something to help or at least better understand what you’re going through.

■ He is very loving and caring if you need to yell, cry or all of the above he will be there to comfort you, and be a listening ear. He is also patient and understands if you get snippy with him, he will not get mad at you for it.

■ He also sticks by your side through your pain to try and comfort you and take your mind off what you’re going through. Doing one of your favorite things, watching one of your favorite movies ordering take out from your favorite places, playing one of your favorite games, whatever you want he’ll do.

■ Doesn’t know how you feel or what you’re going through but he is there for you and tries to support you however he can, which makes him very loving and affectionate towards you, hugging or cuddling with you.

■ He tries his best to take your mind off your pain and what you are going through, and whatever you want to do. If you want to stay home and cuddle in bed or if you want to move around and go somewhere like the Zoo or out to eat, star gaze, swimming anything

■ Doesn’t know what to do to help you but will do anything he can and anything you ask of him, because he doesn’t want you to be hurting alone. So even if all he can do is sit with you and talk, listen and hold your hand or hug you.

■ Is very positive but understanding because he will try to be positive to cheer you up, but also won’t force it if you are upset or angry because he won’t want to accidentally make you mad at him.

ooh yes!!! i immediately thought aspen, colorado but then i was like, tropical/island/beach was more fun to write right now, but if people want some wedding with frankie in aspen content, let me know,,, 

also this assumes a fairly heteronormative wedding and all-female bridesmaids and i don’t know much about weddings, i’m not old enough to be invited individually, and most of my parents’ friends have not invited the kids/teens, so  the only one i’ve been to in the past 8 years was super non-traditional, alice in wonderland-themed, there were ushers on stilts, carnival rides, and guests were encouraged to come in costume so i don’t really know what’s standard for this kind of thing

i don’t see frankie being the one to care so much about what the wedding looks like. if he were forced to plan the whole thing, it’d be small and near his home and his friends would be there.

probably just because its easy

but he knows you want something more, and man is he excited about the wedding ideas you keep gushing about  

so when it comes time to plan it, as soon as you start suggesting all these grand ideas, before realizing it’s probably not his style and backing off, frankie surprises you by saying he’s just as open to having the wedding wherever you want it

and the more you talk about it, the more he realizes how fun of an idea it is

honestly frankie really deserves a relaxing and extravagant vacation, and he’s not realizing it until now

he tells you he wants to go to someplace he wasn’t stationed at any point

he doesn’t want to worry about being plagued with those memories during what’s supposed to be such a happy time

when you finally settle on the location, you and frankie are over-the-moon about it

we’re talking late nights searching for the perfect hotels and venue, looking at photographers, and sharing a pinterest board with everything and anything

while you do plan the whole thing over a year in advance, every day leading up to it you’re buzzing with excitement

frankie is just as excited, and never hesitates to pull you in for a kiss whenever you get too excited and start rambling

“i know, honey, you’ve already said that” he’ll tell you whenever you talk about how much you love the hotel you chose

the day you leave it’s all a blur

the first day or two it’s a lot of busy-work, last minute decorations, meals with family members and friends, and the rehearsal dinner. you and frankie barely are able to find time to spend with each other beyond the evenings you have in your room.

of course you make the most of every moment with him

and if you maybe didn’t get enough sleep one night for all the activities the following day because of frankie’s mouth, you’re not going to complain

the day of, your bridesmaids pull you away from frankie and your room, early in the morning for breakfast

you can’t stop smiling as you and your friends get ready together, hair and makeup going by in a blur of laughter and small snacks and gushing compliments

seriously everyone looks stunning

you look in the mirror one last time before the wedding and are so incredibly happy with how you look

your hair is immaculately styled, framing your face so perfectly that any insecurities you have wash away for the day

your makeup looks amazing

and your dress is perfect. its everything you dreamed of, it fits you just the right way, and it makes you feel so incredibly confident

the photographer comes by to take photos of you and the bridesmaids for a half hour before sliding out to cover frankie and his friends.

your parents want the photos more than you and frankie even, and they had splurged with this particular photographer

you’re very excited to see the photos

frankie surprised you a month ago with a beautiful blank photo album he told you was for all the wedding photos

when the bridesmaid’s tell you it’s time to go down for the first look your nerves spike

you and frankie had decided upon doing the first look, despite both your parents’ insistance that it was bad luck, because you knew he would be infinitely more stressed about everything than you, and having a moment together, no family or friends, just the two of you, would be the best way to settle things so that your experience during the ceremony would be as calm and perfect as you hoped

you haven’t seen frankie since you woke up this morning, and you have no idea what he’ll look like

he hasn’t seen your dress, and you haven’t seen his suit. it’s all up in the air and you’re nervous as hell

you’re directed towards where frankie is, along with the photographer, and the girls leave you at the door to outside

you take a deep breath and the photographer signals you to come out

you can feel yourself about to cry as you open the door and see the back of frankie’s head

his soft curls have been pushed back and the suit is dark black and even from the back you can tell it fits perfectly

looking at him you know, without a doubt, that you are so incredibly ready to spend the rest of your life with him

frankie has been your best friend and most trusted person, and you love him so much.

he’s perfect.

you tap him on the shoulder and he startles before turning around, and his jaw drops, a short gasp escapes from his mouth, and he breathes out your name

“you’re beautiful,” he says, and you’re pretty sure he hasn’t even given your dress a full look

you take in his appearance and smile at his selection of a bow-tie and you’re almost surprised that he didn’t shave, which he usually does for special ocasions

but he knows you like it a little bit more when he has the scruff

he looks hot

he grins at you

“frankie, i love you,” you say

“i love you too” and then “your dress! it’s beautiful too, exactly your style”

“thanks.” and you’re not really sure what to say because all you want is for this moment to be frozen forever in time

you want to always be standing in front of frankie, wholly consumed with love and adoration and the tears that you realize are streaming down your face and his are a testament to how perfect it is

and you know you’re more than ready to walk down the aisle in an hour, and speak the vows you had spend the last couple weeks revising, and kiss frankie and take him to bed tonight, and everything else. 

you’re ready for an extension of the life you already have with him.

god i’ve been sitting on this one for ages and i can’t figure out how to write it well, but i’m going to take a stab at it anyway...

(i had a lisp for a while but grew out of it fairly young, and i grew up with a friend who had a lisp and stutter, but she went to a ton of speech therapy as a kid which i would actually accompany her to, and after a few years her speech got ‘better’ and so for the last many many years i haven’t had anyone in my life with a speech impediment. i’m not sure on a lot of the nuances, especially when it comes to adults. i did a lot of research, but please lmk if anything is offensive or insensitive that i might have missed)

it’s not really gender specific, so i guess here’s some gn!reader x ezra:

ezra is a verbose man, and he grew up knowing that that was one of the many unique things about him. he would talk and talk and talk and his parents were honestly sick of it.

he quieted down, kept this thoughts to himself, used smaller words and talked less. 

it took a long time for him to realize that it didn’t matter what other people thought. his parents were wrong. so he started talking again. he met lots of people who got annoyed buy he didn’t care 

he actually has two favorite types of people:

he likes the quiet people who like to listen, and don’t mind when he starts rambling (though he will check in very often to make sure you’re still okay with it, probably for months until he’s sure you’re actually telling the truth)

and he likes the people who like to have conversations. 

he doesn’t really care if you have the vocabulary of an economics professor or a five year old (he actually enjoys talking to kids, especially when he knows their parents don’t take them seriously enough), nor does it matter if you have the diction of a rhetorician or that of a middle school student just learning to write an essay. he just likes talking.

when he first meets you, he thinks you’re the first type of person. he checks in all the time, and you’ll nod along, piping in when you want. it might take a while to warm up to ezra, but you definitely do. it’s one of those slow and then all at once sort of things.

when you become more of the second type of person, that’s when ezra finally realizes that you have a stutter and a lisp

before he had just chalked it up to nervousness, or that you weren’t totally comfortable around him. he’s used to it. 

he knows what it’s like to feel bad about how you talk, and though he definitely doesn’t fully understand, he can empathize

ezra is actually a really good listener. he likes having conversations, and that’s 50% of the whole thing. 

he’s quick to pick up on little things like what sounds you struggle with most, and when your lisp gets bad he works hard to make sure he understands you.

ezra’s very patient with you. he never interrupts (except when he gets a bit overexited about something you said) and he will never try to finish your sentences.

he doesn’t actually learn that finishing your sentences would have been probably a bit patronizing had he done it, he really just likes to hear things exactly in the person’s own words.

especially yours.

he loves hearing what you think about things. while you spend time together, he’ll ask all sorts of questions about little things you come across on your travels, about stories from your past, about your dreams. 

he likes knowing what you think. 

that’s when he knows he’s in deep. 

he doesn’t like knowing what you think the way he likes having conversations with strangers. he wants to know who you are, how you see things, how you feel about the things and people in your life. he wants so much more.

and your stutter is part of you.

but somehow, you surprise ezra by being the first person to confess.

you had hoped that you’d be able to get through what you wanted to say just fine but your nerves were high and it didn’t come out very smoothly

but it didn’t matter in the end because when you finished ezra broke out into a huge grin

the sort that makes you feel warm inside too

and pulled you into a hug and whispered into your ear, “I love you too.”

the two of you actually started laughing at how weird and sudden and abnormal the interaction had been for the two of you

through the laughter, ezra placed his hand on your cheek, bringing your face closer to his

you wrapped your arms around his waist as you closed the distance, bringing your lips together, smiling into the kiss

ezra knew how to make you feel loved

■ It will be abit of a shock at first and he won’t know how to respond or how to react to thenews at first, he will even be a bit in denial about how serious the situationis and that there’s still a way out of it for you.

■ Once he doesrealize how serious it is and that there’s no simple way out of it, he’ll beangry about it, though not at you but angry about the circumstances and won’tsee it as fair and will want to fight marriage as much as possible.

■ He will beready and prepared to run away with you to get you out of the marriage, he willnot just let it be and accept things for how they are, especially if he knowsyou don’t want to go through with the marriage he will fight it whole heartedlyeven if he has to start a fight with you family or the family you are meant tomarry into.

■ Even if youtalk to him and accept the marriage not wanting to make things worse for him oryour family he will still not accept it as an answer and will practically go toany lengths to get you out of the marriage.

☰ Darui

■ Is surprisinglycalm and understanding about the marriage but that doesn’t mean he accepts it;he will want to know what you think about it and what your feelings are aboutthe marriage are you going to go along with it? Or are you going to fight it?

■ He won’t tryto push you one way or the other he wants to know your genuine feelings on thematter and whatever you feel and want to do is what he’ll support and go witheven if that means he has to let you go because he will not want to tear you awayfrom your family or what you want to do.

■ If you don’twant to go along with the marriage he will support that decision as well no matterwhat that means, if he has to fight to take you away from the marriage or ifthe two of you have to run away he will because he does want to be with you.

■ Has no problems with having an s/o from a different village, ultimately he would rather stay in his own village more often. But it will depend on what you seem to prefer, because if you are pretty pushy about wanting to stay in Konoha he will not want to push you to move to his village. Therefore he will be willing to visit you in Konoha or even move there if you are against the idea of leaving Konoha.

■ C is pretty eager to please you which is why he would be fine with moving because he won’t want to ruin or lose you or the relationship over something like that. But it’s also something he won’t rush either he will have to be dating you for awhile before he’ll get serious about the idea of moving.

■ Is very loving and kind towards you and will always be respectful and polite, he can get a little embarrassed by flirting or physical contact early in the relationship. He will not be very fond of PDA at least not early in the relationship, but it is something he will get use to. But he acts a lot more cocky, confident and flirty than he really is, so his cherade of confidence can be fairly easily shattered.

■ His main concern is all about you and your well being and safety he won’t want to do anything that would make you uncomfortable which is why he will not push or rush the relationship at all. Especially when it comes to important things like moving in together, meeting each others families, or affectionate or sexual acts, he will wait for you to bring these things up first. Though chances are he will be ready before you he just won’t say anything until you mention it first.

■ C can be fairly romantic with you especially when the two of you are apart and can’t see each other at times while the two of you are living in different villages, he will like the idea of writing letters to each other when the two of you are apart. But he will also do sweet or romantic gestures such as sending you flowers or gifts and then doing something special when the two of you are together such as going out to a nice restaurant.
