·         Fusion is performed by two beings with activated aura (souls) fusing their souls in one through focusing their minds on the other and through physical touch .

·         Physical touch usually specifies the relationship between the two (or more) being fused (typically it’s through hands, hand holding, placing hands up against each other, and in the case of sun and Neptune, bro fists) .

·         A strong fusion of auras demands a deep knowledge of the other person, and compatibility of personality (e.i. in a strong, stable fusion their personalities become a new one personality, seamless and strategical in nature) .

·         Semblance also comes into play in a strong fusion, the more compatible the two semblances, the stronger the new semblance created from them will be.

·         If two semblances aren’t that compatible or are complete opposites, sometimes it will result in instability in a fusion.

·         Likewise, if two semblances are too powerful, it can result in a fusion that is unstable if the respective personalities are impulsive.

·         Fusion is primarily utilized for combat or training, often as a last resort as most fusions often result in extreme fatigue.

·         Given the side effects of fusion, fusion training is quite rigorous, but aura’s can adjust to fusing often and overcoming the side effects, in turn strengthening the user’s aura

·         Stronger auras recover faster from fusion or have no side effects depending on the aura’s ability to heal/ protect the individual (Jaune’s aura would show little fatigue)

·         Fusion can also be used to relay strategical information to a team quickly, as the team would become one mind, think telepathic communication (In a trained and experienced team, fusing and unfusing quickly in this manner wouldn’t impact the aura, however, fundamentally fusing with 4 people would have a crippling effect on the user if untrained, and thus fusing with more than one person at once is very slowly built up to in fusion training, if attempted at all).

·         Some auras are insufficient for fusing with more than one person. This sometimes changes if a team is able to work well enough with eachother, the aura would see said emotional bonds as less taxing.

·         If the two persons fusing are in the middle of an argument, have secrets they’re hiding from each other, or have unfinished business, fusion often won’t work.

·         If one of the parties is reluctant to fuse, fusion won’t work.

·         Fusion CAN be forced if an aura is strong enough to consume the other. This happens very rarely, and often only occurs in maidens, witches and wizards, and silver-eyed warriors. Only beings that can use magic without dust are able to force fusion.

For an average human/faunas, the fusion limit is typically 4, each in the group having a natural affinity for a respective season/type of dust (Water/ice dust being associated with winter, earth dust being associated with spring, wind dust being associated with summer, and fire dust being associated with fall.) For a 4 aura fusion to flow and balance perfectly, these aspects must be present in each individual. Similarly, teams in general are built on this principle. 

The 4 person limit is again irrelevant for someone who can use magic without dust. In which case the fusion number is based more on the individual. However, forced fusion usually cannot effect more than one person unless they are both weak of mind. Typically the magician can easily be overpowered by the will of two hunters. 

·         Ruby and Weiss (WhiteRose) make a compatible fusion, though one that is known to go rouge a bit and make their own plans. Sometimes they procrastinate if they see a dog and don’t kill grim as fast as they could. They have a strong aptitude for dust use. ·         Blake and Yang (Bumblebee) make a compatible fusion, but a moody one. Their temper can occasionally get the best of them, however, with Blake’s cool and focused personality it helps them stay on task and take out enemies more efficiently. ·         Ruby and Yang (Burning Rose) are a very powerful combination, however a slightly unstable one. Their combined impulsiveness makes them overestimate their powers and abilities pretty easily. Yang’s tempter is pretty well evened out by Ruby’s happy go lucky nature; however it still can easily take control in the heat of battle. Ruby and Pyrrha (Silver Phoenix) is a stable fusion, and a powerful one. Ruby’s more mature side is more dominant in this fusion with Pyrrha, an even more experienced and very skilled fighter. Together they are very focused, and very, very, powerful. Given Pyrrha’s understanding of Aura and Semblance they can use Ruby’s silver eyes once in their fused form.
