El burro de Buridán es un término filosófico o paradoja que se refiere a una situación hipotética en la que un burro hambriento y sediento es colocado exactamente a mitad de camino entre un montón de heno y un medio de agua. Como se supone que su hambre es igual a su sed, el burro se resiste a comer y a beber, y no puede elegir ninguno de los dos y preferirlo a costa del otro.
