I was thinking about how the characters get their scars that look like their original petrification cracks. For some like Tsukasa, it's kinda easy, these could come from battle wounds.
But Senku's ? I ended to think he just been bite on the face by a big creature during his travel across this post apocalyptuc Japan...

Ok but the headcanon of Joel being a minor god, i love???
He didn't start at the top of the food chain. He was a minor god with a little bit of weather influence and was barely known amongst their fellowmen.
And y'know what he did??? He put in the work, the time, the effort and popped off and now he has people who admire him and sure his ego is hugely inflated and also desperately fragile but you get the point.
He's a minor god who's slowly making his way to the top and- incorporating building lore here now- soon the gates of upper stratos will welcome him with glory and he will be seated at his rightful throne.
I don't care what everyone says, RWBY Volume 5 is a good volume! It's not perfect (none of them are let's be real), but it is nowhere NEAR as bad as it got made out to be when it was airing and I stand by that to this day.
The buildings HVAC system hums in the frequency of D-flat. That's not a standard operational frequency. It's a lullaby. Or a summoning chant. I've started humming along out of a sense of self-preservation. I think it's working. Maybe. The maintenance man (Mr.Hendricks) looked at me for 3 seconds longer today. My assessment: he knows I know.
