When I chat with @senkinny and they are also hype by this AU and yes, it gonna be nothing like a chill walk in a park.

Then I STARTED TO WRITE THIS. It indeed contain angst, horror elements and new Medusas mysteries.

Part 2

so! I have gotten to the power-reveal scene where:

Grian has a panic attack from something on tv and in sitting in his chair but it feels like a worse chair and there’s vines around him and he can’t move and basically panic panic panic until he finally calms down a bit, enough to realize there are actually vines around him, which makes him spiral a bit until he can finally think clearly and… uh, how??

he’s so confused because how are there actually vines around him? At first he panics because what if Terra is actually there? But when he moves a bit the vines immediately break and don’t come back that kinda disproves his theory, though he waits for a few moments to see if anything happens. Nothing does. But then how did that happen??

eventually he figures out that he did it, though that doesn’t exactly make sense it’s the only explanation he has. That leads to a bunch of things but that’s basically the whole scene. I’m excited to start writing it because it’s the next thing I’m going to write (probably later today)

ALSO! I had a weird idea that I may or may not actually use for why Grian has powers. Of course, my original idea was that he kept his power alive by just copying powers but not using them and that somehow worked, which works… but it’s kinda wonky. And I had an idea, since MS doesn’t really use the watchers for stuff besides the head of the agency being called “the Watcher”, that maybe… either the actual head of the agency, or a group that tries to mimic/use the name, took Grian somehow one day (not sure when but before his kidnapping because he has Terra’s power right now so he had to be able to copy it) and experimented on him to try and give him powers and it worked, but he escaped before they could do any worse. And somehow they did a one-time memory wipe thing and so he can’t remember it happening, and that’s why he has powers now and they still work even though he didn’t know about them. Not sure why they didn’t show up in the kidnapping but oh well I can’t think of a reasonable explanation and so the characters don’t know either. Anyway, I was also thinking that when he starts to actually train and use his power, he gets wings that are small at first but as his powers grow stronger, they grow bigger until he can actually fly with them. Although he might have to have a way to like, retract or hide them cuz it would be pretty obvious who he is and that he has them otherwise lol.

honesty I think would be tang, if mostly bc he speaks the words that nobody really wants to hear but need too. Plus the whole story teller thing.

Loyalty is mei, bc she is a dragon and she’s MK’s best friend, refusing to hurt/betray him or her friends!

I mean come on, the pillars! The stones! THEY ARE RIGHT THERE! The only thing missing was he whole “power of friendship” speech. THEY EVEN HAD RAINBOW LAZERS!!!

It is! Can’t deny that I don’t see it, and honestly I’m suprised there wasn’t a whole “magic transformation” for everyone by the end.

But yeah I can totally see these being the case. A bit suprised that tang is honesty, but ig someone’s gotta fill the roll.

Now I’m just imagining a scenario where mk uses that exact lien of thinking and—

Jing: So you have no plan!?

Mk: There’s a plan! It’s called the “power of friendship”! Look! It worked on Macaque and Azure and DBK and—

Nomad reacts as one rationally would upon discovering his boyfriend has been evil for the past 100 years and just thought he could keep that a secret and thats fine. Buuuut I imagine they talk it out and get things figured out after some explaining (and a lot of angry gesturing on Nomad’s part). El Rey definitely knows where he’s coming from.
