I do love Buffstrid! I like to think that she's actually buff in the franchise. RttE does have Ruffnut complain about people praising Astrid for her muscles, so I like to imagine that they're there, even though the franchise itself is doesn't show it. Dreamworks is too cowardly to.
I'm perfectly neutral where Buffcup is involved. I do like it when fanart of Hiccup has him with some muscle (especially with *gestures at everything in the Httyd franchise*) but I like to think of him staying more compact. Buffcup like in the portrait that Bucket painted, doesn't really get a lot of love from me.
So likewise, I don't have any thoughts on Buff!Hiccstrid either. But I can see how people could have fun with that!
