I'm collecting things right now. This weekend, I had a batch of collected items shipped to a client in Beverly Hills. I shipped glass, East German Pottery, vintage ceramics and a handmade piece from @NorthernClayCenter. Fun to see so many artisan pieces take their place on a mantle in Coldwater Canyon. // Swipe to see our full collection of Flow Blue plates hung on a wall. Each one is from the 1800s or early 1900s which makes them survivors. Love the wagon wheel and leaf motif. Zoom in on those cups on the shelf, they look like a dutch pattern I sourced in the Netherlands. // This week is all about getting materials to the studio. Today, I'm starting a new kitchen design project and I'm excited to be back at the treehouse studio working away in our sunporch. Right outside is a dogwood tree that birds flock to in the fall for berries. I love that creative space. // This is a kitchen that I staged during the pandemic. There are so many good things about summer. Warm sun, blooming branches, nesting birds and boy shorts. I've always wanted to be able to wear boy shorts but it's not a good look for me with my Pooh-bear belly. So many reasons to be floating around these summer days. The first reason is to welcome a dear friend back to Minneapolis for a visit. We have been in trenches creating for decades and then when you meet again, oh the stories, the collaboration and surety of friendship. // The second reason is to create imagery all around the upcoming holidays.
