Right Place, Wrong Time {Bruce & Marzel}
Marzel was leaving it was a simple choice for him. He hadn’t even stepped into his own apartment since instead staying in a hotel room and asking Simba to get what he needed from the apartment.
He couldn’t face her room. He couldn’t face the fact he wasn’t going to see her again nor give her a proper burial. There was no way to transport her back to the sea so she would remain in Swynlake while Marzel relayed his failure to his pod.
Perhaps he would be back because he would be kicked out and he had no place to go. And while he couldn’t stand to be here any longer Swynlake was still his home in a way. It would be with his blood buried here.
But he needed to say his goodbyes, asking Bruce out to the lake for at least a quieter conversation. He hadn’t known the boy long but he felt terrible he was leaving before he could know him any better.
“I’m leaving Swynlake. Preferably within the next week.”
