Does anyone know about getting artifacts on the screen in Firefox? It doesn't seem to happen in Google Chrome, but in Firefox I get glitchy-looking squares in the search bars and on the back button. Running the mouse over the area makes the buttons/boxes light up and that clears the artifacts, but I'm not sure how to stop them from happening in the first place. They tend to be either Windows 7 default theme blue or my custom theme color. The frame of the Firefox window itself is default blue and is not my custom theme color, though all other applications use the correct color. Any advice?

My old computer has limited memory. This is not the first flash thing that has crashed Firefox on me. It’s nice when I can get it to do so consistently so I can remind myself, “Don’t do THAT.”
Can switch between Ctrl-T and normal. If I switch back in a place where John can’t move, trying to move him freezes the browser until I close the tab. If I keep trying to move him, it freezes more, and can lock up the whole thing.
Does anybody know of a good, alternative browser to use? I've become increasingly displeased with Chrome as it keeps adding invasive and annoying features that are difficult or impossible to deactivate which have been slowing my computer, and an overall refusal to allow for major customization. I'm currently using a Chromium browser called Dragon, which was great until they started adding all of the features that made me leave Chrome in the first place. I wanted to try another one called Iron, but supposedly it's riddled with trojans.
I tried Firefox, but didn't like the limited interface of the new tab page, though generally it was fairly good. I tried Opera today and loved it, except for the inability to import bookmarks, and the apparent movement away from bookmarks altogether. You can transfer them individually, but given I have nearly 1400 (yes, they could do with a cleaning, but I don't have time for that right now), that would not be worth it.
Basically the perfect browser for me would be Chrome-like in it's bookmarks, but Opera-like in it's interface (the new tab interface with customizable tiles was a god-send). I'm going to start trying some more obscure ones, but if anyone has any suggestions I'd LOVE to hear them. I've been installing and uninstalling a few for about a week now, since Dragon got all fucky.
