Does making Broiche count as a bonus arm workout?? The dough came together perfectly this time!!!! The smearing method to mix in the butter worked exactly as the video showed! I misunderstood slap and fold though and just did the slap part for 20min before I actually did the correct kneading technique. It total it was about an hour of mixing and kneading. Phew! But I passed the window pane test!
Freezing the dough tonight and will bake it on Friday morning ready to head to the river! Exciting and nervous for these. They were right when they said broiche is not for the weak of heart ๐ .
Since I passed it by last Sunday, I'd bought some more of their bread and pastry before I went home, cuz they're always selling different things whenever I visit this place! ๐ Tried this broiche and the buttery smell and flavor was really great (even it already cooled down), texture was really soft and airy.
