Outlander/Commander Vica Nerai (Consular). Sweetest and most exemplary Jedi you'd ever meet--kind, unflappable, determined, willing to carry the weight of the galaxy on her shoulders. (not one DS point to her name, ever) And then she meets Zenith and he makes her really think about why she believes the things she believes, which ones she really believes in and which were just Expected. And then she meets Theron and starts breaking at least one tenet of the Jedi Order. She's still devoted to protecting the Republic when possible, but she's been handed literally the whole galaxy, sometimes they have to share her now. Kept the Alliance independent following Onslaught, which was a big character moment for her.
Trooper Briyoni Nerai, Vica's younger sister. Hot-headed, sarcastic, reckless--and just Force Sensitive enough to seem like she has really good reflexes/luck. I've actually developed her non-Outlander version a lot; there's a whole longfic I'd like to write someday(but I"ve been saying that for 8+ years ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). Her "romance" is Jonas Balkar, they're engaged by the end of the class story, but it's a nebulous "when the war's over" thing. She manages to grit her teeth and stay in Havoc through Saresh kicking Dorne, BUT then after the Eternal Empire invasion things go pear-shaped on Denon while Jonas' SIS team is working there and Commander Malcolm says there's no plan for an extraction for largely PR reasons. So she resigns to go rescue her fiancé. It involves "borrowing" Elara from Malcolm's staff and working with Fuse and Aleksei Dorne, and is ultimately sucessful. Elara and Jonas go back to work in the Republic, but Bry, Fuse, and Aleksei keep working as free agent resistance to Zakuul until joining the Alliance.
Jedi Knight Chayce Bekem dies during the Eternal Empire invasion. He single-handedly holds off most of a battalion that's mixed Knight and regular soldiers(not skytroopers, actual human fighters) during a colony evacuation, but is cut down by a Knight of Zakuul just before retreating himself. His crew all do their "canon assigned" arcs that match up with the game.
Smuggler Kina Taldine gets very busy. Any kind of blackade or occupation means people need things smuggled in, the black market starts booming, and she doesn't hesitate to take those risks and make those credits. Eventually, Risha gets an opening to make progress on reclaiming Dubrillion's throne and leaves to pursue it. It feels "righteous cause" enough for Corso to think it sounds better than blockade running, so her goes with her. Akaavi, Guss, and Bowdaar stick around until the Eternal Empire starts more stringently hunting smugglers and the like, the Kina decides it's best they scatter and lay low.
Inquisitor Enaia Kallig keeps her crew together and maintains her Council seat, though her subtle pushes for a more peaceful/rational Empire get mired down with Marr gone. He was really the only other one so inclined, and had more pull due to his longer tenure. So Darth Imperius turns her attention to consolidating power and tracking down artifacts of use in that pursuit. (occsionally allows Andronikos to engage in a lil piracy for extra funds >:3 As a treat.) Retreats more and more to her private sanctums, basically waves off the restructuring of the Dark Council until Anahel makes a play for her seat. Bodies him and returns to at least a level of involvement that won't give people the idea her power is ripe for the taking.
Bounty Hunter Khary Pace gets by for a while chasing bounties. People still want other people dead, captured, brought back alive, no matter what else is going on in the galaxy. Torian leaves at Mandalore's call for the clans to unite against the Zakuulan threat, but the rest of them are doing alright. And then he accepts a bounty on one of the Star Fortress Exarchs. It's a hard target, takes the whole remaining team to implement his plan... and still fails. Khary, Mako, and Skadge die(sorry Mako), Gault and Blizz bolt.
Sith Warrior Plikh'ori'coduyo (Khoric) continues to serve as Empire's Wrath as long as it's viable. The Hand gets less and less communicative before finally (basiclly) ghosting him. When now-Empress Acina and Vowrawn make terms of surrender with Zakuul he's sort of at loose ends for a while, as the Empire puts on an act of Good Behavior(which means not seeming overly-aggressive on enforcement). After a couple years, Acina sends him to investigate/put down a rumored cult attempting to establish a sanctum on the remains of Ziost. He succeeds at that, but nearly gets killed by a monolith before Vette and Pierce save his bacon. Vette, as his wife, is v grumpy at how much he keeps risking himself for the Empire as the Empire seems to care about him less and less. This is the straw that breaks the bantha's back. Given he's unconscious and barely alive, she and Jaesa drag him off to Manaan to recover. [He winds up with both legs cybernetic; one fully and one knee-down, facial implants, and a cybernetic arm.] Treatment for these kinds of injuries isn't cheap, and they don't want anyone finding him while he's recovering, which leads to Vette partnering with Gault to earn some under the table credits.
Agent Odessa Isric is working undercovering for Ardun Kothe, has her long distance/visit when I can romance with Chance from her canon, and serves as part of the Yavin 4 coalition. She's later part of Lana's team investigating Ziost, so still sees the devastation of that world. What changes with her not being The Outlander is on what would have been her last visit with Chance, when he asks her about them both walking away from government intelligence work, she says yes. Vitiate and... everything else is not her problem to bear. Others will handle it, she'll help when she can but it's not her responsibility.
So she says yes. They both quit and start a private security business and can stop hiding their romance bc they're former SIS/Sith Intelligence now. It's mostly consulting work, and "white hat" testing of computer security systems, which both of them do very well. Odessa doesn't get frozen in carbonite for five years. Chance doesn't get killed in an Imperial bombing run. They both get to live and live together. And because they base themselves off a neutral and strategically unimportant world, they never come under the full weight of any faction's eforrts during the five years between the Wild Space Expedition and the founding of the Alliance.

"Here."
Briyoni blinked, caught off guard by both the proffered steaming mug and the presence of the man holding it. "Balkar? How the hell'd you get in my place?"
He gave her a roguish grin that would have been far more charming if she'd been awake for more than forty five seconds. "Trade secrets, gorgeous."
Bry narrowed her eyes.
"You gave me the door code, Nerai," he chuckled, bobbling the cup every so slightly to make the aroma waft in her direction.
"I-" She started to protest; she wasn't in the habit of trusting her entry code to guys she'd only gone out with a handful of times. But the memory prodded; vague and late at night, tired, hands full of the blasted uncomfortable shoes she'd peeled off her feet. Alright, so this one she had. "Why are you here?"
His grin didn't waver. "We were gonna have breakfast, remember? But I know how you are with mornings, so I figured I'd come by with bonus caf to help start things off."
Bry snorted as she took the mug. "Oh, I don't think you know the dangerous waters you're swimmin' in there, Joney boy." She inhaled deeply as she carried the mug back to kitchen and flopped in a chair at the table.
"Okay, if I'm giving you Jo for special occasions, Joney is completely off the table," Jonas said, wrinkling his nose as he followed her and half-leaned against the table edge.
She laughed, the banter easing the process of waking up more than usual. "I'll make ya a deal, Jo. Ift this is up my exacting standards for a cup of caf, I'll never call you Joney or any variation again."
"And if it's not?" he asked, sliding into the other chair to put them eye level.
It was a struggle, still half-asleep, to not get lost in those baby-blues of his. But she had a point to make. "Then I will." A smirk. "But only when I feel like it." Like in front of his cowkers. Or hers.
"Guess I'm at your mercy," he teased.
"Guess you are." She took another deep breath. It certainly smelled hevenly, however much he missed on taste--
She pulled back from the first sip as if it burned her--it hadn't--blinking at first the mug and then the smirking spy perched at her kitchen table.
"Nailed it, didn't I?"
Stars forbid she make that ego of his any worse, but "Kriffing HOW?"
"I've watched you make it." He grinned wider at her incredulity. "A few times."
"Balkar, there is no way you picked it up this perfect from watching 'a few times'!!!" she snorted.
Jonas leaned forward, eyes still twinkling but expression more serious. "I pay attention to the important things, gorgeous, and this clearly is to you."
"Hmm, okay, smooth talker." She slurped some more of the caf. Spot-on perfect."Thanks. Guess I'm down a nickname."
"Oh, what a shame, whatever shall we do?" he muttered sarcastically.
Bry giggled and cupped the mug in her hands for the warmth. "I'll just have to make do with Jo," she sighed dramatically, leaning forward to steal a kiss.
He stopped her with a finger against her lips as he double-checked, "Only for special occasions, right?"
"Mm," she hummed, already calculating how many special occasions she could cram inside a year.

I have a Cozy Christmas Sweater Bry from @valkblue which turned out absolutely fabulous, as I knew it would. <3 I imagine she expands her collection of ugly novelty sweaters every year after the initial one in Tradition. They are, of course, all a couple sizes too big.

Briyoni could listen to Jonas breathe for hours.
Not that she usually got the chance; between the two of them he was the early riser, up with or before the sun while she preferred to sleep til nearly noon any day she wasn't on duty. But today a string of so-late-it's-morning-again nights worked things in her favor. He was still in bed, still asleep--still laying on her arm, which was starting to go numb.
Bry flexed her fingers to keep some circulation but made no effort to escape. As excuses to stay in bed went 'my husband was asleep on top of me' was a pretty good one. (She was pretty sure the reverse was among Jonas' favorites, too.) Instead she snuggled closer and enjoyed the even cadence of his breathing.
Until nature started calling, and got insistent enough she couldn't ignore it any longer. She groaned and carefully, slowly as she could, worked her arm out from under Jonas to head for the 'fresher.
She was just finishing when a discontented groan issued from the bedroom. "Bry, c'me back. 'S cold without you..."
He still sounded more than half-asleep(adorable) and she giggled as she called back, "One sec, sweetheart." She finished and rejoined him, nestling close in her same spot against his back. "Better?"
"Mmmh. ...Do I even wanna know the time?" he mumbled.
"Prob'y not," she chuckled, kissing his shoulder blade. "Mornin', sleepyhead."
Jonas hummed. "So it is still morning?"
She twisted to look at the wall chrono. "Technically."
Rather than push out of bed with grumbling about wasting half the day like she expected, he hummed again and shifted to lay on his back so he could look at her. "I feel like I should feel guilty, but-"
"Nah," Bry cut him off, resting a hand on his chest. "A solid week of no more'n an hour or two a night? You definitely needed the sleep." She grinned. "I'm honestly a little surprised you woke up at all. Figured you'd be out all the way 'round til tomorrow to catch up."
"Tempting," he said with a sleepy laugh, rubbing her arm. "But there's stuff to do--"
"Not for us there isn't," Bry interrupted again, smugly this time. "Vica said we can have a day or two off, 'cause of everything we did for this op--"
"Nice of her."
"That's my sister," she snorted. "Quintessential Jedi. An' I figured since she has a spy husband who does, y'know, that a lot more regularly than you just did, she knows what she's talking about." She poked his shoulder.
Jonas smiled, fingers lazily tracing the chevrons that trailed up her arm. "You'll just take any excuse to stay in bed, gorgeous."
"Guilty," Bry said. She bit her lip when his light touch brushed over the sensitive spot by her elbow. "But this time you get to stay with me."
"Hm, whole day bein' lazy with my wife?" His grin was made all the more roguish by the heavy stubble. "I suppose I could be persuaded..."
"Hmm." Bry waggled her brows and rolled over, supporting herself with a hand by each of his shoulders as she smiled down at him. "Is that a hint I need to break out the Nerai charm?"
"Couldn't hurt-"
This time she cut him off with a kiss, one deep enough to feel him groan as his hand slid into her hair. His shoulders came off the bed as he pressed up into it until they had to break for air. Jonas fell back against the pillow and Bry smirked.
"Made my point, handsome?" she purred.
He chuckled. "Very persuasive, gorgeous. However," he pushed himself up so they were sitting with her straddling his hips, "might need a little more convincing..."
"Hard case, huh?" She grinned and ran her fingers through his hair on the way to wrapping her arms around his neck. "You're lucky I like you so I'll put up with this-"
Jonas kissed her, and Bry laughed as she leaned in to deepen it, relishing the catch in his breathing. She'd have him spending the whole day in bed by the time she was done.
Today is a good day, I got my @chaosandwonder arts! And there are so many!🥰🥰🥰 They all look so good I may have screamed a little. 😁😁😁😁 Thank you, chaos!

The wind cutting across the ridge made conversation difficult, but Briyoni had never been one easily dissuaded from sharing her opinion. Even by the weather.
"Why are we here?" she groused, staggering as the sand under her feet shifted.
"Because joint operations are fun," Jonas said glibly and not for the first time. "Also b'cause they know we make a good team, and we both have prior operational experience on Tatooine."
Briyoni snorted, squinting despite the goggles she wore to cut down sun glare as she peered along the trail. If you even wanted to call it a trail. "Way I remember it, your 'operational experience' was lounging around the spaceport while me'n Jorgan schlepped halfway across the planet to extract your agent."
"Highly editorialized, but you did a great job." There was a grin in his voice that made her want to turn around and bop him. Or maybe shove him down the sand dune. But the less time spent in the sun and heat, the better, so she restrained herself to an eyeroll.
"How much farther?" she said instead.
A brief pause, then, "Half a klick. Hope there's some shade wherever they're expecting us to set up..."
She'd never been one to pass up low-hanging fruit. "What, didn't your operational experience prepare you for this, Balkar?"
"Alright, I deserved that," he laughed, which turned into a cough as the wind threw sand in their faces.
"Sure did," Briyoni smirked, then turned her attention back to walking without falling over. They pressed on in silence for a few minutes, longing for more solid footing, before the wind subsided enough for conversation again.
"Number of Imperial ops you've wrecked out here, I'm a little surprised they're willing to risk this planet again," Jonas commented, drawing level with her to look ahead.
"One thing I do hafta give the Imps, they're persistent," she said drolly. She watched him as he looked between the holomap and the terrain along the dunes ahead.
"I think it's taking us there," he said, pointing to a pair of rock formations towering over the sand and what looked like the shadow of a crevasse.
"Look, shade," Briyoni needled, nudging his ribs with her elbow.
"Hope it's still there when we get there," Jonas muttered. He stowed the holomap and resumed course.
She could see the first tinges of sunburn on his cheeks as she fell in step. "Those pillars are tall enough, bet there's always shade of some sort."
"Tryin' to make me feel better?"
"I'm grumpy enough for two about this op." She wiped sweat off her neck and wrinkled her nose. "One of us should stay optimistic about it, and you're such a cheerful person you're the natural choice."
Jonas laughed. "I mean, a durasteel-clad excuse to spend time with you is all I need to stay optimistic about it, gorgeous. Even when you're bullying me."
"Pfft, if you think this is bullying, you need to talk to Jorgan." Briyoni said with a grin. "I give him way more crap." She tugged him close by the scarf protecting his neck. "I'm nice 'cause I like you."
"What a relief," Jonas deadpanned, so close she felt his chuckle whisk against her cheek. "Here I was worried you didn't. Would've been awkward, with the engagement and all."
"This you droppin' hints for some kind of reassurance?"
"Maybe."
She hummed a laugh, lips just brushing the corner of his mouth. "When we get where we're goin', handsome," she murmured, and stepped back.
"Okay, now that's mean," Jonas complained good-naturedly, but he did pick up the pace toward their goal.
"Call it motivation," Briyoni called over the wind as they drew close enough to get a good look at the designated spot. Plenty of shade, tumbled rocks to shield from wind and sensor sweeps... long as there was a good view of their target, she might have to give the SIS this one.
"Oh, I'm plenty moti-" Jonas' snarked reply cut with an abrupt yelp as the ground gave under his next step, sand sliding into the freshly revealed sinkhole. He teetered on the edge of it, losing the battle for balance as more of the ground cascaded away.
"Jonas!" Briyoni grabbed for his jacket, backpedaling the second her fingers closed around fabric to pull him with her to a rocky section of ground that would--hopefully--prove more sturdy. One of them tripped as they reached it, landing them safe but in a tangle of limbs, him half on top of her.
"Thanks," Jonas managed, breathless from her elbow digging into his ribs.
Briyoni nodded, shoving up her goggles as she stared at the sinkhole. "Well, y'know, would've been really boring to do this by mysel-"
He kissed her. "Bry. Shut up."
"Mhm." She grunted her agreement as she kissed him back, her fingers digging into his hair.
Now that the initial knee-jerk adrenaline and flippant snark-hiding-fear moment was past, she was dwelling on the warnings she'd heard--desert sinkholes swallowing people whole in a blink. No trace, no escape, only slower death was by sarlacc. She'd gotten lucky on her other missions here and never encountered one, but that had been way too close.
She finally pulled back enough to meet Jonas' eyes. "You want me to take point again, babe?"
He nodded, a tad sheepish. "If you don't mind."
Briyoni stole one more kiss before extricating herself and getting to her feet. She could feel a new bruise starting on her thigh from his knee(made them even for her elbow in his ribs). "At least it looks like it's a bit rockier the rest of the way."
"Good." He took the hand up she offered, a little shaky as he raked hair out of his face. "Thanks again for catching me."
"Sure," she nodded, shooting him a wink. "You are quite a catch, after all."
"Ha-ha," Jonas laughed sarcastically, but he still slid his hand into hers as they started off, warily eyeing the ground.
And she didn't blame him when he chose a perch up on a boulder once they were settled in their spot.
