It's tough whenever negative thoughts hit your brain. You end up feeling bad and focusing on the negative. You cry and the cycle beats you up until you start getting anxious. You feel fine one day and back to zero tomorrow. This can be caused by the lingering heartache and also by hormones. The attacks can get worse for a whole 2 weeks after your period. (if you're a woman)
You'll feel better almost instantly if you learn to train your brain to think of the silver lining.
Negative - He left me when I needed him the most. I never left him. How could he do this. (The list is endless)
Positive- I need this time to be whole again before being part of a relationship otherwise I'll just be unhappy and dependent again. There is something better for me coming. He needs this time to miss my company and to gain back his lack of respect for me.
If you focus on the positive your stomach will relax. Your heartbeat will even out and your breathing will be more balanced.
And please... take this time to treat yourself. What do you feel that you need to change in order for you to love yourself more?
Maybe a visit to the salon is in order?
Fix yourself physically first. Go to the gym.
Next, deal with the other stuff you want to save up for. Travel if you can. Go on a date if that would help. Do a photoshoot. Write a blog. Do something that would make you value yourself more.
