Brie Larson (Captain Marvel)

I loved this because it was so unexpected but it was exactly what we needed. We were expecting a fight, a big one, between mentor and student. We expected Carol to come out on top and planned on rooting for her the whole time but then we got this. She embraced the power she had and then gave us one of the most impactful lines I have ever heard in a film like this.

This is why Captain Marvel is so impactful to me and many others. She showed us that just because we can or can't do something differently then other people doesn't mean we have to make it a goal to make it to their level.

Don't lower your standards, especially for people who don't respect you. Don't feel like you have to better your self for those who seem higher then you, it's likely they are also jealous of you.
