The Goliath GP700 Sport is a rare sports coupe produced by the German company Goliath-Werke (a subsidiary of Borgward) between 1951 and 1953. The car made history as one of the first production cars in the world to be equipped with direct gasoline injection, beating the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL by several years.

Fitted with the upgraded TS engine and propelling the 2+2 Coupe to around 95mph. The story goes that Carl Borgwards wife Elisabeth was desperate for a Coupe and wanted to purchase a Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. The request was refused by Karl who developed this Coupe with his wife in mind. Elisabeth was presented with a Isabella Coupe, loved it and retained it for many years, until her death. Borgward had many unsold Isabellas when it went bankrupt, controversially, in 1961. Nevertheless, the model's production at the Bremen plant continued until 1962, suggesting that overstocking had not been restricted to finished vehicles. The Borgward Traumwagen (Dream Car) of 1955 was an advanced prototype designed for high-speed cruising on Germany's autobahns. It used aerodynamic, light alloy bodywork and a 130hp 2.5-litre flat-four engine along with advanced features for the period like disc brakes. Soon after its presentation at the Frankfurt Motor Show, it was involved in an accident, and though it was repaired, it went missing after the company's bankruptcy in 1961 and is believed to have been scrapped.
