Bolin has this habit of calling Agna Quelâa âAgni Kai,â which Eska finds annoying. Finally, she tells him, âYou will treat the name of my city of origin with proper respect.â Bolin didnât realize how much it was bothering her, so he apologizes and promises to try harder to call it by its real name.
And then, a few days later, Bolin and Eska and Opal are all talking, and that city comes up in the conversation. And Eska calls it âAgni Kaiâ without thinking. Bolin and Opal just stand there with shit-eating grins until Eska realizes what she just said. And she says something like, âSpirits, I beseech you to dissolve the molecular integrity of this floor so that my body can pass through it and into the Fog of Lost Souls.â After that, the three of them always call it âAgni Kaiâ when alone together as an inside joke.
