Another one of my nicely bound mythology books, this one is Bullfinch’s Mythology. It was originally published by Thomas Bullfinch in 1867, and was intended to bring mythology to the general public (’of both sexes’, Bullfinch stated), where it had previously been mostly restricted to the elite. It was wildly successful, selling many copies, and was considered a standard work of mythology for almost a century. It contains myths from the Greek and Roman traditions, as well as King Arthur’s tales.

“No? Then who, pray tell, is your type?”

“Um… Ian Somerhalder?”

“Better than the sparkly vampire,” he muttered. “Newsflash, Sunshine, you and Ian aren’t happening.”
