But the window was closed, and there were iron bars on it, and peering inside he saw his mother sleeping peacefully with her arm round another little boy. Peter called, “Mother! mother!” but she hears him not; in vain he beat his little limbs against the iron bars. He had to fly back, sobbing, to the Gardens, and he never saw his dear again.

Finished reading this one a few days ago. :)
Liked it. The rabbits! Certain things (don't want to spoil anyone)!
But, my biggest dislike is still that (for me) the writing feels disjointed and that there are so many jumps between POVs, timelines and so on without clear indication. Makes it a bit diffcult for me to keep track of everything even though I've already watched the series. :/
