Long rant about medical stuff if you don’t want to read but I gotta let it out somewhere
BMI is such bullshit because in the same breath by dr. told me today that mine is 27 and also that it’s excellent and, while that isn’t true if you look at the sheet, for my proportions I can understand what he means, but, like, make it make sense.
I’m moving, on my feet, 10 hrs a day and then I’m exhausted, there’s not much else going to happen in the way of exercise, doc, until we sort this shit out.
But yay we did four vials of blood work to figure out if I have a vitamin deficiency and if my RF numbers are elevated/ if we can start to narrow down what the problem is/ isn’t.
It’s suggested I have a full spinal X-ray, which I get to look in my handy dandy insurance booklet and see what they pay for. (finally! I finally have insurance.)
I do have to accept the fact that it may just be chronic pain and that may be all it is.
There’s a possibility it’s sciatica that is affecting my shoulder as well as my back and leg, so, at least we’re making progress and at least someone is listening and not writing me off.
(It’s actually the doctor I’ve had I’ve just gotten much better at advocating for myself and making him listen now that it’s been 5 years since I last saw him.)
