Let there be shade! Likely the first time this boat has had a covering in about 25 years. I contacted the Oregon State Marine Board to try to find the currently titled owner who last registered this boat in 1995. Through them I was able to determine that this is a 1969(nice) Silverline 16 footer. They gave me the contact information for the last titled owner and told me the procedure to get the title in my name. I sent a certified letter to them, so hopefully I'll hear back soon as to whether they're willing to give up legal ownership. Basically unless they contact me within the next month and state that they want the boat back, I should be able to file for a lost title and have it put in my name!
