The green haired just gave the blue hedgehog a rather sympathetic smile before letting her gaze fall back to the injury his poor right leg had suffered through. The wound was pretty deep and Rin knew she was going to have to clean it up so Sonic wouldn’t risk infection. She just… hoped he wouldn’t mind the pain she was about to put him through.

“I’m sorry about this,” Rin sighed, lifting up the bottle of disinfectant, “but this is going to sting. I’ll try and make it quick though, okay? I promise.” And once she received his consent for what she was about to do, Rin put a few drops of disinfectant on the cotton swab before dabbing it gently on the wound. She winced at any of Sonic’s pained noises, but she did her best to make her work quick and efficient whilst apologising at the same time. The last thing she wanted to do was put him through more pain than he had already gone through; she just wanted to help him recover.

Once Rin was satisfied with her work, she put the cotton swab and the bottle of disinfectant down so she could grab the bandages and slowly start wrapping it around the injury. If she rushed it, she was sure that she wouldn’t do a good job, so she took her time with the bandages, her orange eyes focused on the work in front of her. When Rin was finally done with wrapping the bandages around Sonic’s leg, she made sure they were tight enough before pulling away, letting out a sigh of relief.

Amy raised an eyebrow at Sonic’s attempt to comfort her, and while she didn’t mind that he was trying, she couldn’t help but question what he had to say.

“This is coming from the guy who has chilli dogs all the time. I mean the last time you had a salad you—…” She paused, blinking as she tried to backtrack her memories. “Wait… When was the last time you had a salad?”

Oh Sonic – Amy loved you with all her heart and she absolutely adored the way you would wrap your arm around her, but…

For the love of Chaos please chew with your mouth closed.

It was a good thing that Amy was fluent in Sonic-talking-with-his-mouth-full, otherwise she would have struggled to understand whatever the heck the blue hedgehog had just said.

The Supreme King’s golden eyes burned with excitement as he watched his puppet struggle against the restraints in his own mind. Even as Sonic continued to fight back against his control, Haou already knew it was far too late for him; he could fight in his mind as much as he wanted to - but on the outside, Sonic was nothing more than a pawn for Haou’s little game of dimensional domination.

And Haou loved every second of it.

“I must admit - your resistance to my control is quite admirable, but… a wasted effort nevertheless.” Haou smirked as he walked closer to the trapped hedgehog, raising an eyebrow in amusement as Sonic tried to get Jaden’s attention from within the Supreme King. Little did Sonic know that Jaden was trapped deep within his own soul with nothing but a blank, empty golden stare. He may have heard Sonic, but he did nothing to respond.

He was just… silent.

Haou, on the other hand, decided to put more of his powers to good use, lifting his hand up and letting the darkness form an image - specifically of a certain pink hedgehog who was in tears, crying to the rest of her friends about what had happened to Haou’s new puppet.

“You know,” he hummed, watching the image unfold with a dark grin, “you and I aren’t so different after all. Look at us - we are both using the powers of darkness to hurt the ones we love.” Once Haou felt that he had tortured Sonic enough with the vision of his girlfriend, he let the image disappear into the darkness with a wave of his arm before tightening the hedgehog’s restraints as he came up close and personal to his pawn.

“Then again, I suppose there is one thing that separates the two of us.” His voice was dark his eyes burned into bright emerald green - determined to break the hedgehog before him. “While I may have forced you into it, Jaden did it willingly on his own. Everything that’s happening to you - to your precious Amy and to everyone else is because he was weak and wanted more power. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him.”

Chocolate brown eyes stared at the monstrosity before them, cringing slightly as his best friend insulted the dish - the dish he had made. For Jaden and Yusei’s first Valentine’s Day together, the Slifer student had decided to try and make something for him, since they were kinda limited to what they could do on the island. Thank god this had only been Jaden’s test batch otherwise poor Yusei probably would have died trying to eat Jaden’s failed attempt at a cake.

“Does it really look that bad?” Jaden took another good glance at the piece of goo, grabbing his fork so he could poke it a few times. However, once Jaden got the fork in there, the cake was so undercooked and disgusting that it held onto the fork, making it a difficult effort to pull it back out - one that Jaden honestly didn’t feel was worth the struggle.

“Okay... yeah it’s pretty bad.”

Monotony was never the Commander’s strong suit. Normally? He would have been fine with a routine congregation in meeting room 45. Normally? He would have been just fine with the way his coffee was growing cold, even. Okay, well, it was more lukewarm than anything at this point, but it wouldn’t be consumed either way. Normally this would be fine. Normally.

Gunnar, to be quite honest with himself, was not fine. Nor was he anything considered ‘normal’, but that was besides the point. In fact, he felt rather sick to his stomach. Odd, considering nothing about his morning routine had changed. Maybe it was the eggs?

...Nah. It was enough, however, to get him to excuse himself from the droll of dignitaries throwing insults at one another. Slipping with practiced expertise from the commotion, he finally breathed once his boots touched carpet - much preferable to the linoleum meant to help with the frequently-tossed coffee. Nobody liked the instant stuff.

As the door clicked shut behind him, Gunnar pressed his back to it as he deflated with a sigh. With drama like that? Nobody would miss him if he left. ...Right? Right. Glancing both ways down the long hallway, he then slipped the trusty if a bit tarnished ring from his pocket.

Take me where I need to go.
