Stepbrother Kaiser! Who thinks he has this weird obsessive claim on you because you are his darling baby sister. He tells everyone that he's not weird, just protective. Like a good older brother should be.
Stepbrother Kaiser! Who takes you to a brother-sister trip downtown for "bonding time" as soon as he has a day off. His usual passive aggressive demeanor and the commands he barks over the field have simmered down for the day to a point where his teammates get worried.
Stepbrother Kaiser! Who sulks the whole train ride because a few guys of the team had the great idea to accompany you two. This is not how he imagined spending his precious time with you!
Stepbrother Kaiser! Who hates how bright your laughter sounds when it's directed towards Bachira instead of him, hates how invested you seem to be in the conversation with Nagi about a game he recently bought and how Isagi's hand steadies you instinctively when you stumble.
Stepbrother Kaiser! Who takes you to the nail salon first. Full manicure and pedicure while he's picking the length, form and color of your nails, even telling the staff where to put the little rhinestones he chose to perfect the look.
Stepbrother Kaiser! Who's dragging you from one store to the next, holding clothing choices against your frame with high concentration. He's discussing brands, colors, fits and sizes with the staff as if you're nothing more than his little doll to dress.
Stepbrother Kaiser! Who has every single person around you thinking he's your boyfriend. He has the staff giggling about his generosity and handsome looks and girls on the street taking second looks as he guides you carefully through the crowd with a steady hand against the small of your back. He's not even trying to hide the way his chest puffs out in pride.
Stepbrother Kaiser! Who makes you sit in his lap as soon as you arrive back home. His favorite time of the day, just you and him with nobody to interrupt. Having you ramble about your day as you face him, your weight against his thighs and small hands resting on top of his shoulders.
Stepbrother Kaiser! Who really can't help himself from letting his face bury into your neck, his nose brushing against your pulse point and breathing you in, noticing that you wear the perfume he gifted you for Christmas. He knew his favorite mix of spices would compliment you splendidly.
Stepbrother Kaiser! Who tells himself it's completely normal to feel the burning heat curl like smoke inside his stomach whenever he has you like this. His fingers are constantly flexing and twitching against your hips and his lips are trailing along your jawline as he raps out mundane questions against your warm skin just to hear you talk more.
Stepbrother Kaiser! Who's eyebrows furrow in something between worry and anger when you start babbling about a boy in class that likes you. Nobody should show interest in his little sister like that and you definitely shouldn't start having crushes on boys that aren't him!
Stepbrother Kaiser! Who immediately flips you over and presses your back into the soft mattress beneath, hovering above you. If you think you can just grow up into a little whore, he will make sure you know exactly how girls like you are treated in this cold, harsh world. After all, educating his little sister is what a big brother should do.

Blue rose thorns
(Michael kaiser x reader)
The blue rose on Michael Kaiser's neck felt like it was strangling him.
It was 3:14 AM. The Berlin apartment was silent, save for the soft rhythm of your breathing beside him. To anyone else, the sound would have been a lullaby. To Michael, it was a countdown.
He lay paralyzed, his blue-streaked hair damp with cold sweat, his eyes fixed on the ceiling. The dream had been the same as the night before. And the night before that. And every night for the past three weeks.
In the theater of his mind, the play always ended the same way: You stood in the doorway, a suitcase at your feet, your eyes holding no warmth.
"I'm tired, Michael."
Your voice was soft. Gentle. The voice of someone who had already made peace with their decision.
"There's nothing behind the crown. Just a boy who never learned how to let anyone in."
"I can't love someone who doesn't exist."
He rolled onto his side, his predatory blue eyes tracing the silhouette of your shoulder in the dark. He wanted to reach out,to feel the warmth of your skin, to prove you were still real. But his hand wouldn't move. It hung in the air between you, frozen, like he was already reaching for a ghost.
He was terrified that if he touched you, you'd dissolve into smoke.
So he pulled his hand back. He slipped out of bed. He stood in the bathroom mirror, tracing the permanent red lines tattooed beneath his eyes, the blue rose on his neck, the crown on his hand.
He looked like an emperor.
But he felt like a boy who had just watched his mother walk out the door.
---
For three weeks, the distance between you grew like a chasm neither of you knew how to cross.
He stopped reaching for your hand across the dinner table. He stopped kissing you goodbye in the mornings. He stopped telling you about his day, stopped talking altogether. You gave him space at first, thinking he needed time to decompress, but when three weeks passed and he still flinched at your touch, you knew something was wrong. The way he'd pull away when you reached for him, the way he'd lie awake at night with his back to you, the way he'd look at you sometimes like you were already gone,it was killing you slowly, this silence between you.
You tried to reach him. You made his favorite meals. You left him notes. You sat beside him on the couch and waited for him to speak. But he just sat there, staring at nothing, his jaw tight, his eyes hollow. The man you loved was disappearing behind a wall of his own making, and you didn't know how to tear it down.
The breaking point came on a Thursday evening.
He was standing in the kitchen when you walked in, staring out the window at the Berlin skyline. He didn't turn around when you entered, didn't acknowledge you at all. He just stood there, his reflection a ghost in the glass, his shoulders rigid with tension.
"Michael."
Nothing.
"We need to talk."
He didn't answer.
"Please." Your voice cracked on the word. "I can't do this anymore."
He turned then, and the look on his face made your heart drop. He looked exhausted. Hollow. Like he hadn't slept in weeks, which you knew he hadn't. His eyes were shadowed, the permanent red lines beneath them stark against his pale skin. His blue-streaked hair was disheveled, like he'd been running his hands through it all day. He looked nothing like the Emperor. He looked like a man who was slowly falling apart.
"What do you want me to say?" His voice was flat. Defeated. "That I've been having nightmares? That I wake up every night thinking you've left me? That I'm so terrified of losing you that I can barely breathe around you?"
You stared at him, your heart aching. "Michael-"
"Every night." His voice rose, cracking at the edges. "Every single night, I close my eyes and I watch you walk out the door. And I wake up and you're right there, and I can't even touch you because what if I do and you disappear too? What if I finally let myself believe you'll stay and then-"
He broke off, pressing the heels of his palms against his eyes like he could push the grief back inside. His whole body was trembling, his shoulders shaking with the effort of holding himself together.
"I can't," he whispered, his voice breaking apart. "I can't keep doing this. I can't keep waiting for the end."
---
You crossed the kitchen in three quick steps and pulled him into your arms.
He stiffened at first, like he didn't know what to do with the comfort. But then he crumbled. His arms wrapped around you like you were the only solid thing in a world that kept trying to drown him. He buried his face in the curve of your neck, and you felt the hot sting of his tears against your skin.
"Shh," you murmured, one hand cradling the back of his head. "I've got you."
"I'm so tired," he choked out. "I'm so tired of being afraid."
"I know." You held him tighter. "But you don't have to be afraid anymore."
"You don't understand." He pulled back just enough to look at you, his face a ruin of tears and grief. "Every time I close my eyes, I see it. I see you leaving. I see the door closing. And I can't,I can't make it stop."
"Then let me help you." You cupped his face in your hands, your thumbs wiping away his tears. "I'm not going anywhere, Michael. I'm right here."
He stared at you, his breath hitching, his eyes searching yours for the lie. And when he didn't find one, he broke down completely.
The tears came in earnest, ugly, heaving sobs that tore out of his chest and shook his whole body. He pulled away from you, curling in on himself, his hands pressed to his face like he was trying to hide. You reached for him, pulling his hands away from his face and wrapping your arms around his trembling frame. He collapsed against you, his forehead dropping to your shoulder, his fingers digging into the fabric of your shirt like you were the only thing keeping him upright.
"Shh," you whispered, rocking him gently. "Let it out. I'm right here."
So he did.
He cried until his eyes were swollen and his voice was hoarse. He cried for all the things he'd never been able to say, all the fears he'd never been able to voice, all the years he'd spent waiting for the other shoe to drop. He cried for the boy he'd been and the man he'd become. And when the tears finally stopped, he lay trembling in your arms, his head on your chest, your fingers in his hair.
"Thank you," he whispered.
"For what?"
"For staying."
---
The nightmares came again that night. You felt him tense, heard him whimper, watched his face crumple into something young and frightened.
But when you whispered, "I'm here. I'm not going anywhere," he relaxed. His breathing evened out. His arms tightened around you.
And Michael Kaiser slept through the night for the first time in weeks.
---
In the morning, you made him bread crusts.
Fresh ones, from the bakery down the street. You toasted them yourself, dusted them with sugar and garlic salt, and carried them to the bedroom.
Michael was sitting up in bed when you walked in, his hair a disaster, the permanent red lines beneath his eyes stark against his pale skin. He looked younger without the armor of his usual confidence. Softer. More human.
He stared at the plate like it was something sacred.
"I remembered," you said softly, sitting down beside him. "You told me once. About the bread."
He looked at you, his eyes searching yours. "You remembered?"
"Of course I did."
He picked up a crust and took a small bite. His eyes fluttered closed. His jaw worked slowly. When he opened them again, they were wet.
"They taste like hope," he whispered.
You smiled and kissed the corner of his mouth. "That's because they are."
He ate the entire plate. Every single crust. And when he was done, he set the plate aside and pulled you into his arms.
"I love you," he murmured into your hair. "I love you so much it terrifies me."
You pressed a kiss to his chest, right over his heart. "That's how it should be."
He laughed,a soft, broken, beautiful sound, and held you tighter.
---
That night, Michael Kaiser dreamed of nothing at all.
Just warmth. Just you. Just the quiet, miraculous truth that for the first time in his life, he didn't have to steal love to keep it.
The Emperor slept, not on a throne, but in the soft sanctuary of being known.
And in the morning, when he opened his eyes and found you still there, your hair a mess, your face soft with sleep, your hand resting over his heart,he smiled.
Not the sharp, predatory smirk of the Emperor of Bastard München.
Just Michael.
Just him.
And for the first time, that was more than enough.

a/n; I'm loving this Kaiser x Cold, Nonchalant, Famous Celebrity reader. might do more soon 👀 ( I hate when reader is easily submissive lol )
I won't lie to you.
that was the first sentence you said to him before breaking up, your voice perfectly flat, smooth, and utterly devoid of the usual sharp friction he loved to provoke.
naturally, Kaiser didn't believe you at first.
a low, mocking chuckle left his throat, a sharp, arrogant smirk instantly pulling at the corner of his lips as he leaned back, entirely unbothered. he rolled his eyes, treating your cold demeanor like nothing more than a pathetic, amusing little game you were trying to play to get a rise out of him.
“ Oh? Going for a dramatic opening tonight, mein Schatz? ” he joked, his voice dripping with a smug, condescending amusement as he looked down at your deadpan face. he reached out casually, his tattooed fingers gesturing toward you in a dismissive wave.
“ What's the matter? Did a director reject your little script, or are you just desperate for the King's attention? ”
he really didn’t believe you.
to a narcissistic god like Kaiser, the concept of someone actually leaving him was a literal impossibility. when you took a deliberate step backward, creating a cold, physical gap between you, his smirk only widened. he figured you were just being dramatic— throwing a quiet tantrum over some minor grievance just to see how long it would take for him to come baby you.
standing his ground, he crossed his large arms over his chest with an insufferable, confident grin, completely content to wait for you to drop the act and come crawling right back into his space.
but now, reality is hitting him like a physical wrecking ball.
everywhere Kaiser turns, his sharp blue eyes are assaulted by the brutal, undeniable proof that you weren't playing a game. he can't escape you. your face is plastered across the city, but you aren't alone anymore.
he passes a massive, towering billboard in the center of the district, and his jaw instantly clenches so hard the bone aches. it’s a high-fashion campaign poster, and there you are, looking flawlessly deadpan and ethereal, but another man’s large hands are wrapped firmly around your waist, pulling your back flush against his chest.
when Kaiser turns on the television in the team lounge, a teaser for your highly anticipated new romance drama is playing. he freezes, a sickening, volatile heat rising in his throat as he watches the screen. the camera cuts to a close-up of you in the rain, staring up at your handsome male co-star with that quiet, intense focus you used to give him. the guy reaches out, gently cupping your jaw, and the scene cuts to black right as his lips press into yours in a slow, impossibly close, intimate kiss.
even on social media, the internet is flooded with viral paparazzi photos of you out in the city— walking side-by-side with the same guy, his arm slung casually and possessively over your shoulders while your frame leans into his side.
seeing you with someone else, occupying a space that used to belong entirely to the King, changes everything. the mocking, arrogant disbelief Kaiser hid behind completely evaporates, leaving behind a raw, suffocating vacuum of pure desperation.
it finally clicks in his delusional, narcissistic brain: you were dead serious about the breakup.
you really walked away, and the terrifying realization that he has actually lost his Queen is beginning to tear his pathetic pride to absolute shreds.
he looks at the screen, a dark, manic smirk forcing its way back onto his lips as he completely rewrites reality to protect his bleeding ego. he zooms in on a paparazzi photo of you and this new guy, dissecting every single millimeter of your expression with a hyper-fixated, desperate intensity.
I know he's just not right for you.
right. he’s not right for you, Kaiser tells himself, the thought hardening into absolute, delusional certainty. there's no way. that generic peasant you’re parading around with is nothing but a temporary downgrade. Kaiser knows that man isn't the one for you— he is. he’s the only King fit for a Queen like you, and no amount of high-fashion billboard casting can change that.
And you can tell me if I'm off, but I see it on your face when you say that he's the one that you want.
he convinces himself that he can see right through your cold facade. your signature deadpan expression? that’s not you being your usual cool, unbothered self— no, Kaiser tells himself you’re secretly miserable. he decides that the slight tilt of your head in the photo means you're bored out of your mind, and that you’re only staying with this guy out of spite to punish him.
he gaslights himself into believing that your eyes look completely empty without him, convincing his own desperate mind that you are practically begging for him to come break this up and rescue you.
but what drives him absolutely insane, what Kaiser hates more than anything else— is the sheer, agonizing absurdity of seeing his brilliant, untouchable Queen completely wasting her time on a nobody. time that should be spent revolving around him.
he glares down at his phone, his thumb harshly tracing the edge of your jawline on the screen, his chest heaving with a volatile mix of suffocating possessiveness and pure arrogance.
And you're spending all your time in this wrong situation, he thinks, the realization twisting like a knife in his gut before transforming into a dark, stubborn conviction. every single second of it is a mistake.
it’s a complete farce, a pathetic waste of your days, and he refuses to believe you actually want this. he convinces himself that you’re just trapped in your own stubbornness, playing a part in a script that doesn't belong to you.
his eyes narrow into a dangerous, intensely focused glare as he locks his phone, a delusional smirk finally returning to his lips.
And anytime you want it to stop, he promises silently into the empty room, his voice a low, rough murmur of absolute certainty. all you have to do is say the word, and your King will come tear that little fantasy to shreds.
he paces the length of the empty locker room, his cleats clicking sharply against the concrete floor, a restless, volatile energy vibrating through his entire frame. the thought of you with that other man is a physical sickness in his stomach, but the anger is mutating into something much more dangerous: a desperate, delusional obsession.
Tell me, why are we wasting time on all your wasted crying,
the question burns through his mind, a frantic, bitter demand directed at your absent face. he remembers the silence of your breakup, but his broken mind twists it now, wondering if you’re secretly suffering behind closed doors. he convinces himself that you must be shedding tears over this entire mess, wasting your precious energy on a situation that is completely beneath you.
why are you putting yourself through this? why are you wasting all that time on a generic nobody, when you should be with me instead?
he grips the edge of a bench, his knuckles turning stark white as his sharp blue eyes fixate on the floor. it hits him then— a rare, unsettling flash of genuine worry that he instantly cloaks in his signature, suffocating arrogance.
that guy doesn't know how to handle someone as complex and untouchable as you. he doesn't know your rhythms, your pacing, or how to properly worship a Queen. Kaiser knows, with an absolute, terrifying certainty, that this peasant is going to fail you. you’re going to get hurt, just for the sake of trying to prove a point to him. the mere thought of you being broken by someone else makes his jaw clench until it aches. you're wasting your time, risking your own heart on a fraud, when the only place you belong— the only place you’ve ever belonged— is right back by your King's side.
—
the heavy, rhythmic thud of a football colliding with a concrete wall echoes through the empty training facility. over and over. Kaiser strikes the ball with a violent, reckless force, not even caring about the flawless accuracy of his impact right now— he just needs to drown out the noise in his own head.
but it isn’t working.
he stops the ball dead under his cleat, his chest heaving as a slick layer of sweat glitters against his skin. his blue eyes shift down to the dark reflection on the polished floor, his mind instantly dragging him right back to you. to the intolerable reality that you are still out there, living a life that doesn't revolve around him.
I'll stop time for you.
the thought hits him with the force of an absolute command. it’s not a romantic promise; it’s an exhibition of his own god complex. he doesn't care about your schedule, your high-profile modeling contracts, or the massive film sets you’re currently ruling over. if you wanted him to, he would willingly freeze his entire world. he would put his own skyrocketing career on pause, block out the media, and make the entire universe stand perfectly still just to accommodate your presence again.
The second you say you'd like me too.
he clenches his jaw, a low, dangerous growl vibrating in his throat. that’s the catch. that is the only thing keeping him locked in this agonizing, self-inflicted purgatory. he is a King, and a King does not beg— but he is waiting. he’s waiting for that single, microscopic shift in your deadpan demeanor. the absolute second you drop that stubborn act, the very moment you look at him and give him even a shred of confirmation that you want him back, he will drop everything. he will halt the world in its tracks and reclaim what is his, entirely convinced that you are just one word away from running right back to his throne.
he kicks the ball away, sending it hurtling into the far corner of the facility just to break the suffocating silence.
I just wanna give you the lovin' that you're missing,
the thought is heavy, dark, and thick with an insatiable hunger. he knows exactly what you’re missing out there in the real world. that generic peasant you’re with probably treats you like glass, handling your deadpan demeanor with cautious, polite hesitation. he probably smiles gently, holds your hand softly, and treats you like a standard, fragile trophy.
it makes Kaiser want to vomit.
because you aren't standard, and you certainly aren't fragile. Kaiser knows the real you— the actress who wears a flawless, unbothered mask to the public but craves something entirely different behind closed doors. he knows the intense, friction-filled passion that only he could provide. he remembers the way his tattooed hands used to grip your waist, the bruising intensity of his kisses, and the suffocating, worshipful way he would consume your entire attention until you couldn't think of anything else.
you’re starving in that whatever polite public relationship you have with that guy, and he knows it. he can practically feel the void left in his absence. nobody else can match your frequency. nobody else can give you that volatile, addictive devotion that kept you anchored to him. he stands there in the dim light of the facility, his fingers curling into a tight fist as he glares into the empty space, entirely consumed by the delusional certainty that you are out there freezing to death without his fire.
Baby, just to wake up with you would be everything I need, and this could be so different.
the rare, suffocating wave of genuine vulnerability hits him before he can even block it with his arrogance. Kaiser closes his eyes, his head dropping back against the cold brick wall of the facility. for a single, fleeting second, the grand illusion of the stadium, the flashing cameras, and his desperate need for global dominance completely fades away.
he visualizes it with an agonizing clarity: waking up in the quiet luxury of his apartment, the morning sun filtering through the blinds, and finding your calm, beautiful face resting against his chest. no scripts, no paparazzi, no exhausting masks for either of you to wear. just your smooth, deadpan gaze meeting his before he can even murmur a smug greeting. it would be everything. it’s a reality so vastly different from this pathetic, engineered distance you’ve forced between you. if you were just by his side, he wouldn't have to spend every waking hour fighting the urge to tear the city apart looking for you.
Tell me what you want to do.
he opens his eyes, his sharp blue gaze snapping back into focus, instantly hardening with that familiar, dangerous edge. the moment of softness is gone, cloaked once more in his unyielding hubris. he’s tired of the guessing games. he’s tired of analyzing billboard posters and dissecting television teasers. he stands up straight, a dark, demanding smirk slowly returning to his lips as he issues the silent ultimatum into the empty air.
he’s putting the ball in your court. he’s giving his Queen the floor. all you have to do is make your move, dictate the play, and tell him exactly how you want to end this farce— because the King is losing his patience, and he’s ready to rewrite the script.
'Cause I know I can treat you better than he can,
the absolute certainty of it settles deep into his chest, a dark, immovable anchor. he scoffs, running a sweat-slicked hand through his blue-tipped hair as a mocking laugh leaves his throat. it’s an undeniable fact. that generic placeholder of a man doesn't have the status, the drive, or the sheer brilliance to match you. he’s a nobody playing a part he’s bound to mess up. Kaiser knows exactly how to elevate you, how to challenge your sharp mind, and how to give you a lifestyle that matches your untouchable talent. to him, keeping you by his side isn't just a desire— it's the natural order of things.
And any girl like you deserves a gentleman.
the word feels foreign in his mind, almost amusing, but Kaiser twists it to fit his own twisted, royal standards. a gentleman? no, you don't need some soft, boring guy who treats you like an ordinary porcelain doll. a high-caliber woman like you deserves a King. you deserve someone who will aggressively guard your space, worship your deadpan perfection, and ruthlessly destroy anything that threatens your peace.
I know I can treat you better, better than he can.
the thought repeats in his mind like a final, unyielding verdict. he’s done waiting for real in the shadows of an empty training facility, done watching you pretend to be content with a fraud.
Kaiser lets out a slow, sharp breath, his blue eyes gleaming with a dangerous, calculating light. a dark, predatory smirk settles onto his lips as he grabs his jacket, slinging it casually over one shoulder. the King has sat on his hands for long enough. you wanted to see how far he would let this joke go? well, playtime is officially over.
he doesn't care about your new script, the paparazzi, or the pathetic little barrier you’ve tried to build between you. he knows exactly what you’re missing, he knows your true worth, and he knows that nobody else alive can give you the volatile, addictive devotion that he handles so effortlessly.
as he walks out into the cool night air, his mind is already spinning with a sharp, tactical precision. he isn’t going to just sit back and watch your world revolve around someone else. he’s about to change the game entirely. whether you're ready for it or not, Michael Kaiser is coming to reclaim his Queen— and he’s going to make damn sure you remember exactly who you belong to.
cause he knows he will treat you better. way better than he can.

did something so embarrassing in class today infront of MANY STUDENTS and oh god do I want to bury myself in the deepest parts of land that exists here on earth
I did heard that you can distract yourself by being super focused so here's me writing and publishing a Michael Kaiser fanfic angst despite me not reading the manga, and relying on spoilers I have read, tiktoks I have watched and studying on google ( yes I'm an overthinker. and yes I'm quite good at studying people / characters. )
I do love Kaiser tho 😼 also suprising that this is my shortest work so far despite me being obsessed with him... suddenly I'm Ness...
really wanted to do a cheating fiction, and a Kaiser one of course. but this is the best I could do! I wouldn't like to hurt myself intentionally and you readers too... maybe next time :p
7/1/26; just realized now that this is a new writing style 😭 I usually write in a story-way type? and not situational ( if that makes sense.. )
Rain lashed against the windows of your shared Berlin apartment, the skies a stormy gray as if echoing how you felt inside. You curled deeper under the mountain of blankets on the couch, tissues scattered like fallen snowflakes on the coffee table, your nose stuffy and your throat sore beyond belief. Your fever hadn’t broken since yesterday, and even lifting your phone to check the time felt like a herculean effort.
The only comfort came from the faint hum of the TV playing reruns of your favorite comfort show and the scent of chamomile tea long since gone cold sitting untouched by your side.
You heard the front door click open, followed by the familiar sound of keys dropping into the bowl near the entrance. Then came the soft shuffle of expensive sneakers being kicked off.
You groaned slightly and buried your head in a pillow. The last thing you wanted was for Michael, your overly confident, annoyingly attractive boyfriend, to see you like this. But it was already too late.
“Love?” His voice was both honey-smooth and laced with concern. “You didn’t answer my texts.”
“I’ve been dead for the past 24 hours,” you croaked weakly, not even attempting to sound dramatic.
You heard footsteps pad quickly over the wood flooring. He appeared in the doorway of the living room, ditching his gym bag on the floor as his eyes scanned your sick, miserable form. His usual cocky smirk was nowhere to be seen.
“You look like shit,” he said, but the teasing was faint, overridden by the worry creasing his brows.
“Gee, thanks,” you muttered, coughing into your sleeve. “Great to see you too.”
Kaiser stepped closer, dropping to a crouch beside the couch. He didn’t care that your skin was flushed with fever or your hair was a tangled mess. His gloved fingers gently brushed a strand of hair away from your forehead, then rested there a moment, checking your temperature.
“Still burning up,” he muttered under his breath, voice almost too soft for you to hear. “Did you eat anything today?”
You shook your head. “Couldn’t keep anything down.”
“Okay. That’s it. My orders.” He stood up in a fluid motion, already pulling off his jacket and tossing it over a chair. “I’m handling everything.”
You cracked an eye open and croaked, “You? Cooking? Isn’t that illegal in, like, eighteen countries?”
He shot you a look. “I can cook, thank you very much. I just usually don’t have to.”
Despite your state, you let out a hoarse laugh, which only led to another fit of coughing. Kaiser was immediately by your side again, handing you water like it was a potion of immortality.
“No more sass until you’re better,” he said, tilting the glass to your lips. “Come on, drink.”
You obeyed, too weak to resist, and let him press the glass gently to your mouth. The cool water soothed your sore throat. When you were done, he dabbed your lips with a tissue and tucked the blankets around you tighter, his movements uncharacteristically tender.
“Michael, you don’t have to—”
“Shh.” He silenced you with a finger to your lips. “You took care of me when I twisted my ankle last season, remember?”
“That was barely a sprain.”
“And you still fed me soup and carried my ego when I said I felt useless for missing a match.”
You let out a weak chuckle.
“Besides,” he continued, brushing his thumb over your temple, “I like taking care of you. So shut up and let me.”
You blinked at him. This was not the same Michael Kaiser who taunted players on the field, who preened for cameras and bathed in arrogance. This was your Michael, protective, gentle, and impossibly sweet when he wanted to be.
He disappeared into the kitchen with the kind of determination he usually reserved for World Cup qualifiers.
Forty minutes later, your apartment smelled like heaven. The aroma of miso soup drifted through the air, and the sound of utensils clinking told you he hadn’t burned anything.
Yet.
He returned, now without his hoodie and in a tank top that showed off his toned arms (because of course he would). He carried a tray with a small bowl of soup, sliced fruit, and warm tea that actually steamed this time.
“Careful,” he warned, settling on the edge of the couch. “It’s hot.”
You gave him a look of awe. “Did you… make this?”
“Babe, please. I played soccer in Japan. I know my way around miso soup.”
“Did you actually make it or did you just pour hot water into an instant packet?”
Kaiser smirked. “That information is classified.”
Still, you took the first spoonful. It was warm, salty, and soothing, exactly what your body had been begging for. You sighed in relief.
“Good?” he asked, watching you like a hawk.
You nodded. “Perfect.”
Michael leaned back smugly, but the proud glint in his eyes wasn’t for himself, it was for you. “Told you I got this.”
He didn’t leave your side while you ate. In fact, he gently helped you hold the bowl when your hands trembled. When you coughed, he rubbed your back. And when you dropped your spoon and let out a frustrated groan, he leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to your temple.
“Don’t get all pouty. You’re sick, not helpless,” he murmured.
“I feel gross.”
“You look beautiful.”
You raised an eyebrow at him.
“I’m serious.” He tucked your hair behind your ear. “Even with that red nose and those watery eyes. You’re still mine.”
Your heart squeezed painfully, and not from the fever. It was so rare to see him like this, unguarded, his every action a testament to how deeply he cared.
“I probably got you sick already,” you mumbled.
“Let me guess,” he grinned, “you’re about to say you’re contagious and I should stay away?”
You nodded.
“Too late.” He leaned forward and kissed your forehead anyway. “I’m already infected with love.”
You groaned so loudly that your own lungs betrayed you.
“Michael, that was so bad.”
He chuckled. “I’ve been saving that one.”
Later that evening, when the medicine finally kicked in and your body grew heavier with the pull of sleep, Michael settled next to you on the couch, pulling you into his side. You lay against him, cheek on his chest, lulled by the rhythm of his steady heartbeat.
He absently played with your fingers, occasionally kissing the top of your head as he whispered softly:
“You’re gonna be okay. Just rest. I’ll be here.”
You smiled into his shirt. “You’re not gonna run off to a party or stream your match footage for the millionth time?”
“Tempting,” he teased, “but no. My queen needs her knight.”
“I thought you were the emperor.”
“I’m both,” he said proudly. “But right now, I’m your personal nurse. And a pretty damn good one at that.”
You couldn’t argue. The fever hadn’t vanished, but the ache in your chest, emotional, not physical had eased. Because no matter how bad you felt, you had Michael Kaiser wrapping you up in his warmth like armor.
And just before you drifted off to sleep, you heard him whisper one last thing into your hair:
“I love you, even when you’re a snot-covered mess.”
kaiser rubs all his anger on you due to his past ♡.
KAISER always been a brilliant on the field, untouchable in his stride, but behind closed doors, he was a storm barely held together. you knew he had a past, one he rarely spoke about, but you never expected to become the outlet for pain that wasn’t yours. every slammed door, every cold shoulder, every insult that tasted like resentment. all of it chipped away at the person you once fell in love with. his anger didn’t come in explosions, it came in waves. sharp, unpredictable, and exhausting. when he looked at you during arguments, it felt like he wasn’t seeing you, but someone else entirely... someone he hated. you wanted to reach out, to soften him, but every time you tried, he pulled further back, until silence was safer than truth. and still, he remained obsessed with winning, with perfection, as if that would finally fix the boy who was never loved right.
you tried to be patient, tried to understand where it all came from. his childhood was a landmine of broken glass, an alcoholic father who never needed a reason to beat him, a mother who vanished before he even learned how to pronounce her name. no matter what he did as a kid, no matter how many wallets he stole or grades he manipulated... nothing stopped the bruises or the screams. and so kaiser learned to survive by becoming untouchable, unbeatable. Love, to him, was a dangerous thing, too soft, too fragile, too close. he didn’t know how to hold you gently without remembering the hands that hurt him, and when life pressed down on him too hard, when he lost a game, when pressure mounted... it was you. he snapped at. because deep down, he didn’t believe he deserved your love, and hurting you made that belief feel justified.
“You think I care about this?” he’d hiss, eyes sharp as steel after another match where he didn’t score as he should’ve. “You think you matter when I’ve got the entire world to crush beneath my boot?” It wasn’t really about you, never was. but the words hit their mark. he wouldn’t look at you, jaw clenched, voice biting. all you’d done was ask if he was okay, if he needed anything. but love, to kaiser, often felt like a trap. and when his anger flared, all the walls he built to protect himself crumbled, and he lashed out, using you as a shield against the pain he never processed.
at night, he’d lay beside you without a word, his back turned, his body tense. sometimes he’d whisper apologies in his sleep, his voice so broken it made your chest ache. but in the daylight, you missed the version of him who smiled, not the one on posters, but the one who kissed you softly before games. now, his kisses were quick, routine, an afterthought. the warmth he used to give now flickered like a dying light. and still, you stayed, wondering if the boy beneath all that fire still wanted to be loved.
he rarely spoke of his father, but when he did, his voice went hollow. “Nothing I did was ever enough,” he once said, his knuckles white against the glass in his hand. “he beat me just for existing. and she... she left me with him like I was some fucking problem she didn’t want.” that night, he drank more than usual, and when you tried to take the bottle away, he flinched—then shouted. not because of the drink, but because your touch startled him, reminded him of a time when touch meant pain. he apologized an hour later, his voice raw, but the damage lingered in the space between you. and still, he wouldn’t let go of the anger, it was the only thing he’d ever had control over.
you became good at reading the signs. when to speak, when to stay quiet, when to step away. but it wore you down, chipped away at your confidence. you began to ask yourself if love was supposed to feel like this. tight-chested, cautious, desperate for scraps of affection. you missed the feeling of being chosen, not just kept. kaiser noticed, in moments of clarity, how far you were drifting. but he didn’t know how to pull you back without first tearing down every wall he’d ever built. and to do that, he’d have to face the very thing he’d buried his whole life.. his past.
And yet…there were nights when you saw glimpses of the man he could be. his arms around you after nightmares, trembling hands gripping your shirt as if afraid you’d disappear. “Don’t leave me,” he’d whisper into your hair, voice cracking with fear. and in those moments, you understood, he wasn’t angry at you, but terrified you’d leave like everyone else had. his past had taught him that love was conditional, that softness was dangerous, and so he struck first. you held him through those storms, even when you were the one drenched. but love, real love, was patient...and you hadn’t given up.
The argument started like all the others, sharp words flung like daggers over nothing. a misplaced comment. a tired sigh. a look he misread as disappointment. but tonight was different. tonight, something inside him cracked. “you’re always looking at me like I’m about to break,” he snapped, pacing the living room like an animal, hands running through his golden hair in frustration. “like I’m some project you’re trying to fix.. newsflash, I’m not broken. I’m just like this. I have to be like this. If I’m not, I lose everything that makes me… me.”
You tried to stay calm, but your voice wavered. “I don’t think you’re broken, michael. I think you’re hurting, and you won’t let me help.” That only made him angrier. His eyes burned, not with rage this time, but with panic. “no. no, don’t start with that ‘help’ shit,” he snapped, voice loud, but not cruel... desperate. “you don’t get it. no one fucking helped me when I needed it. you know what I got? a fist to the face. a bottle thrown across the room. silence. and if I cried? If I showed I needed anything? that just gave him more of a reason to beat the shit out of me. so I learned to shut up. I learned to win. that’s all that ever mattered.”
He finally stopped pacing, standing in front of you, breathing hard, eyes wild. “you think I don’t want to be better for you? you think I don’t hear myself when I’m yelling and wish I could stop? you think I like seeing you flinch when I raise my voice? but I don’t know how to stop. no one ever taught me. I grew up thinking pain meant someone saw you. that anger was safer than sadness. that silence was better than being left behind. and now you’re here... trying to love me! and I don’t know what the fuck to do with that.” His voice cracked, and he turned away, fists clenched at his sides. “I’m not good at this. I’m not good at being soft.”
You stood, slowly walking over to him, reaching out... but not touching, not yet. “then talk to me, kaiser. not like I’m your enemy. not like I’m someone else from your past. talk to me. your wife. the person who stays. even when you push. even when you hurt.” that word made him flinch. Hurt. because deep down, he knew. and that was when it hit him, harder than any blow his father ever gave, that he was doing the very thing he swore he’d never become.
His voice dropped low, thick with something between shame and grief. “I hate him so fucking much,” he whispered. “I hated the way he smelled like whiskey and failure. I hated the sound of his footsteps because it meant something was coming... something bad. I hated how he blamed me for her leaving, how he said I ruined everything just by being born. and I hate that no matter how far I run, he still finds a way into my head.” He laughed bitterly. “do you know what that does to a kid? knowing he was never wanted? knowing his own parents left scars that still bleed even when no one’s touching them?”
Tears filled his eyes, but he didn’t wipe them. he just stared at you, face broken wide open, no longer the emperor... just a boy who wanted to be loved but didn’t know how to accept it. “I don’t know how to love you without hurting you,” he said, voice hoarse. “but I want to. I want to try. I’m just… so fucking scared. That if I let go of all this anger, I won’t have anything left. that you’ll see the real me. the scared, abandoned little boy I buried years ago... and you’ll leave too.” His breathing hitched, eyes glassy. “and I wouldn’t survive that. not you. anyone else, fine. but not you.”
You stepped closer, cupped his face gently, thumbs brushing against his cheeks. “I see that boy already,” you whispered. “and I’m still here.” He didn’t move, didn’t speak, but his arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you into him like he was afraid you might vanish. his body trembled. his forehead rested against your shoulder. For the first time in years, Michael Kaiser let himself cry. not in secret. not out of sight. but in your arms. shaking, gasping, holding onto you like you were the only thing keeping him grounded.
He spoke again... soft, nearly broken. “I’m sorry,” he murmured. “for all of it. for turning you into a punching bag for pain you didn’t cause. for yelling. for pushing. for making you feel like love had to come with bruises. I didn’t know how else to survive. but I want to learn. please… don’t give up on me.” the words spilled out of him like a confession. and in that moment, you didn’t need him to be perfect you just needed him to be real—and finally, he was.

"What?!" You yelled out, stopping your tasks in hand, surprising Michael Kaiser. He slowly blinked at you, like you're the crazy one for lashing out at him even though he was the one constantly poking you.
His silence just makes you more annoyed, you attempt to get back into doing your managerial duty but he thinks that is an a-okay signal to keep poking you.
*poke poke*
"I swear if you don't stop poking me and just tell me what you need so you can stop pestering me, I'm gonna tear your limb one by one starting with those pretty fingers of yours~" you explained in a singsong voice, with a smile that didn't reach your eyes made Kaiser even more amused.
He smiled at you innocently, like he didn't just try to poke holes into your body. Putting some distance between you, you resume your attempt to do your manager duties till you feel him getting closer and-
*Poke*
You caught his hand, "Oh. My. God. What. Do. You. Want." Kaiser is slowly driving you nuts, you swear that you're about to make him see whatever God that chose him to be an emperor.
"I'm not going to stop poking you until you give me some attention." He said in this, cooly matter-of-fact tone of voice.
You swear you could hear your blood vessels pop somewhere, "I'm giving you attention now, aren't I?! What more do you need?!"
Kaiser grins, leaning closer to whisper in your ear, "Did I say some? Sorry, I meant that I want all of your attention." He leans back, taking the chance to intertwine his caught hand with yours, "If you agree to go on a date with me, I'll stop poking and bothering you for the rest of the day. Deal?"
You're sure you're going to regret this. Future you is definitely cursing at you right now but at the moment you just wanted him to go away so you agreed to his stupid date.
Kaiser stayed true to his words, for the rest of the day, you managed to do all your duties in time without having the blonde constantly on your tail all the time.
The air in the Bastard München locker room was thick,a heavy cocktail of ozone, expensive liniment, and the acrid tang of half-time adrenaline. The score against Ubers was locked at a frustrating, suffocating zero-zero.
Y/N stood quietly by the tactical whiteboard, a clipboard pressed flat against their chest, perfectly still. Being a live interpreter for the world’s most demanding youth football team required more than just an encyclopedic knowledge of German, English, and Japanese. It required the temperament of a bomb disposal expert.
And Michael Kaiser was a bomb with a famously malfunctioning timer.
The locker room door didn't just open; it was shoved, hitting the rubberized wall stop with a violent crack. Kaiser stormed in, his cleats slamming against the linoleum. He was practically vibrating with rage, the blue rose tattooed on his neck flushed pink at the edges from exertion and fury.
"Where is he?" Kaiser spat in rapid-fire German, pushing past a flinching Alexis Ness. His icy blue eyes snapped onto one of Bastard München’s Japanese wingers, Kurona Ranze, who was currently shrinking onto a bench, trying to catch his breath.
Kaiser didn't hesitate. He stalked forward, throwing his water bottle into an empty locker. "You," he barked, rounding on Kurona, but turning his head just enough to bring Y/N into his peripheral vision. "Translate this exactly, Y/N."
Kaiser took a lungful of air, leaning over the seated Kurona until his shadow entirely swallowed the smaller player. When he spoke, the German was dripping with a theatrical, acidic venom. "Tell this shark-toothed little freak that if he hesitates on the right flank to check his footing one more time, he is less useful to me than a dead dog rotting in a ditch. Tell him I will personally ensure his pathetic excuse for a career ends right here, and he will never see a blade of grass on a professional pitch again."
The room went dead silent. Ness didn't look entirely too pleased. Kurona couldn't understand the words, but the sheer, oppressive malice in Kaiser’s tone made the winger’s shoulders hike up to his ears. Panic was a frantic, visible pulse at Kurona’s throat.
Y/N looked at Kaiser. Underneath the arrogance, beneath the Emperor's mask, Y/N saw the frantic, obsessive perfectionism of a boy who had fought his way out of the gutter with nothing but his own two feet. Kaiser used cruelty as a shield and a whip, but right now, a panicked winger would only cost them the match. Fear narrowed vision. Bastard München didn't need a terrified player; they needed a fast one.
Y/N made a split-second decision. They turned to Kurona. The Japanese they spoke was smooth, calm, and effortlessly reassuring.
"Kaiser says that your positioning is flawless, but you’re hesitating a half-second too long on the right flank," Y/N translated, their voice ringing clearly in the quiet room. "He needs you to trust your speed. Don't look at your feet. Keep your eyes up, overlap faster, and trust that he will find you. He is depending on you to break their defensive line."
Kurona blinked. The terror drained from his face, replaced by a sudden, brilliant spark of determination. He looked past Y/N to Kaiser, nodding firmly. "Understood. I'll be faster."
Kaiser narrowed his eyes at the sudden shift in the winger's demeanor, glancing suspiciously at Y/N. "What did he say?"
"He said he understands, and he will execute the play to your standards," Y/N lied smoothly in German.
Kaiser huffed, standing up straight and rolling his shoulders. "See that he does."
Twenty minutes into the second half, the game broke open. Kurona received a brutally fast pass on the right flank. He didn't hesitate. He didn't check his feet. He drove the ball forward with terrifying pace, drawing two Ubers defenders before sending a flawless, sweeping cross into the penalty area.
Kaiser leaped, twisting his body mid-air with impossible grace, meeting the ball with a thunderous bicycle kick. The net buckled. The stadium erupted.
Bastard München won 1-0.
Two hours later, the post-match adrenaline had faded into an exhausted, aching quiet in the Blue Lock facility’s residential wing. Y/N was pouring a black coffee in the communal kitchenette, the only sound the hum of the fluorescent lights and the sputtering of the espresso machine.
"You speak German, English, and Japanese flawlessly."
Y/N didn't jump, though the sudden voice in the doorway made the hair on their arms stand up. Michael Kaiser leaned against the doorframe, freshly showered. He wore a loose black t-shirt, sweatpants, and an expression that could cut glass. In his hand, he held a sleek Blue Lock tablet.
Y/N took a sip of the coffee. "It’s on my resume, yes."
Kaiser pushed off the doorframe, stalking slowly into the kitchenette. He dropped the tablet onto the counter. The screen was paused on a tactical feed of the locker room from half-time. Blue Lock's surveillance was notoriously thorough. They recorded everything.
Kaiser tapped the screen. An automated text-to-speech AI played a clip. “He needs you to trust your speed. Don't look at your feet.”
Kaiser tilted his head, the damp strands of his blonde and blue hair casting sharp shadows over his eyes. "I ran the audio through the translation software Ego provides us. Care to explain to me, my little mockingbird, since when does 'dead dog rotting in a ditch' translate to 'trust your speed'?"
Y/N met his gaze evenly. There was no escape; the kitchenette was small, and Kaiser was intentionally crowding their space, projecting the physical dominance he weaponized on the pitch. The scent of his expensive cedarwood body wash mixed with the bitter smell of roasted coffee beans.
"It doesn't," Y/N said softly.
Kaiser planted his hands on the counter on either side of Y/N, trapping them. His eyes were dark, a storm brewing in the frost. "You censored me. You softened my words. You undermined my authority in front of my own team."
"I managed your asset," Y/N corrected, not breaking eye contact. "Kurona responds to technical feedback, not threats. If I had translated your exact words, his sympathetic nervous system would have triggered a fight-or-flight response. He would have played defensively, lost the ball, and you wouldn't have scored the game-winner." Y/N took another calm sip of coffee. "I didn't undermine you, Michael. I made sure you won."
Kaiser stared. His jaw flexed. He was so used to people either screaming back at him or cowering in absolute terror. He demanded worship or hatred; he didn't know how to process calm, unflinching logic. He searched Y/N's face for pity or mockery, finding neither. Just a quiet, unshakeable competence.
For a wild, fleeting second, Y/N saw the ghost of the boy Kaiser used to be,someone who screamed to make sure he was heard, someone who drew blood so nobody could draw his first.
Kaiser exhaled heavily, his breath ruffling Y/N's hair. He pushed back from the counter, grabbed his tablet, and turned toward the door.
"If you ever misquote me to the press, I’ll have you fired and blacklisted," he threw over his shoulder.
"Understood," Y/N called back to the empty room.
They weren't fired. In fact, nothing was officially said about the incident. But the dynamic shifted, fundamentally and inexplicably, like the shifting of tectonic plates beneath the ocean. It was invisible on the surface, but it altered the entire landscape.
It started subtly on the training pitch two days later.
Isagi yoichi had intercepted a pass meant for Kaiser during an eleven-on-eleven scrimmage. Kaiser stopped dead, his posture going terrifyingly rigid. He spun around, eyes blazing, marching toward Isagi like an executioner approaching the block.
Ness was already hovering, looking gleeful at the prospect of Isagi’s verbal dismemberment. Isagi braced himself, sweating slightly as Kaiser stopped inches from his face.
Kaiser opened his mouth, drawing a breath to deliver what would undoubtedly be a barrage of career-ending insults.
But then, Kaiser paused.
He didn't look at Isagi. His icy blue eyes flicked over Isagi’s shoulder, scanning the sidelines until he found Y/N standing by the water coolers, clipboard in hand.
Y/N, reading the situation perfectly, gave a slow, barely perceptible shake of their head. Don't do it. Not worth it.
Kaiser’s mouth stayed open for a fraction of a second. He closed it. He swallowed the insult hard enough that Y/N could see his throat work from twenty yards away. He clicked his tongue, glaring back down at the heavily confused Isagi.
"You..." Kaiser started, his German losing its venom, tapering off into aggressive frustration. "...need to check your blindspot before you try to hijack my airspace, you idiot."
With that, Kaiser spun on his heel and jogged back to his position.
Isagi stood frozen, blinking rapidly. He turned to Kurona. "Did... did he just give me actual, constructive criticism?"
Kurona looked equally horrified. "I think so. Beware. It might be a trap."
On the sidelines, Y/N hid a smile behind the edge of the clipboard.
It didn't stop there. Over the next three weeks, a secret language blossomed between the star striker and the live interpreter. It became a bizarre, highly functional crutch for Kaiser's volatile temper. He was still arrogant, still theatrical, still an absolute nightmare to defend against, but he had installed a safety catch. And he had handed the trigger entirely to Y/N.
During a highly televised press conference, an arrogant Spanish reporter asked Kaiser if he thought the German stratum was losing its edge to the Japanese players. Kaiser leaned toward the microphone, a dangerous smirk playing on his lips. He glanced off-camera, catching Y/N’s eye.
Y/N shook their head. Too mean.
Kaiser’s smirk flattened. He adjusted his collar, looking back to Y/N. He raised an eyebrow in a silent question.
Y/N gave a single, firm nod. Give them the PR answer.
Kaiser sighed, a theatrical puff of air that rustled the mic, and delivered a flawlessly boring, media-trained answer about "team synergy" and "growth margins." The reporter looked disappointed. Ness, sitting beside Kaiser, looked like he was having an aneurysm, his eyes darting frantically between Kaiser and the corner of the room where Y/N stood.
It became a comedic routine to the rest of the Bastard München regulars. An attack dog checking with its handler before sinking its teeth in.
If a teammate missed a pass, Kaiser would whip around, glare at Y/N, and wait. A nod? Kaiser would unleash holy hell in German, letting Y/N translate the absolute verbal thrashing. A shake of the head? Kaiser would groan, roll his eyes toward the stadium rafters, and somehow force out a gritted-teeth piece of actual team communication.
He trusted Y/N’s judgment implicitly, far more than he trusted his own impulse control. He didn't understand why, and he refused to analyze it. All he knew was that when the red haze of his past, the ghost of the violent, volatile men who had raised him, threatened to spill out and sabotage everything he had built, Y/N was there. A steady anchor in his stormy sea. Y/N didn’t try to change him, didn’t judge him, didn’t look at him with the disgust he often felt for himself. They just kept him from burning his own house down.
And slowly, that trust began to morph. It bled out of the professional boundaries and spilled over into the quiet moments, changing the very air between them.
The transition culminated on a rainy Tuesday evening, heavily casting shadows across the Bastard München residential wing. The team had a rest day, and the facility was eerily quiet. Y/N was in the small library, catching up on translation logs, the soft patter of rain against the thick glass the only accompaniment to their typing.
The door swung entirely silently this time. Kaiser walked in. He wasn't projecting his Emperor persona. The theatricality was gone, leaving him looking startlingly young and deeply exhausted. He was wearing an oversized sweater, the sleeves pushed up to his elbows, exposing the intricate vines of his tattoos.
He didn't announce himself, simply pulling out the heavy leather chair across from Y/N and sinking into it. He rested his chin in his hand, his blue eyes tracing the movement of Y/N’s fingers on the keyboard.
Y/N finished the sentence they were typing before pausing. "Need something translated, Michael?"
"Yes," Kaiser murmured. His voice was unusually soft, the sharp edges completely filed down.
Y/N reached for the clipboard. "Who is the recipient?"
"Me."
Y/N’s hands stilled. They looked up, meeting his gaze. He wasn't glaring. The intensity in his eyes was something entirely different, something vulnerable, heavily hooded by his thick eyelashes.
Kaiser leaned forward slowly, bridging the distance across the small reading table. He reached out, his long, heavily tattooed fingers gently catching the edge of Y/N’s clipboard, lowering it down to the table so there was absolutely nothing between them.
"I need you to translate something for me," Kaiser repeated, his German carrying a low, rumbling cadence that made Y/N’s heart kick against their ribs. "Because I don't think I understand the language I'm speaking anymore."
Y/N swallowed past a sudden tightness in their throat. "What is it?"
Kaiser shifted, his fingertips sliding off the clipboard to lightly, tentatively trace the back of Y/N’s hand. The touch was feather-light, almost hesitant, so wildly out of character for the Emperor of Bastard München that Y/N almost forgot to breathe.
"I look at you before I speak," Kaiser confessed quietly, the arrogance entirely stripped away. "Because if I don't, I ruin things. I ruin everything I touch. You know that. You saw it on day one." His thumb stroked the knuckle of Y/N’s index finger. "But when I look at you, I don't want to break anything. I just want to... be whatever it is you see when you nod at me."
Y/N looked at the way his hand enveloped theirs, so large and capable of violence, yet holding them with reverent care.
"You don't ruin things, Michael," Y/N said softly, slipping seamlessly into German, matching his intimate tone. "You're just so used to fighting for your life that you forgot you're allowed to stop."
Kaiser’s breath hitched. A profound, stark relief washed over his features, loosening the perpetual tension in his jaw. He moved his hand, sliding his palm up Y/N’s forearm, feeling the steady warmth of their skin, before his fingers gently cupped their jaw.
Y/N didn't pull away. They leaned into the touch, a silent permission.
Kaiser’s eyes darkened, the blue swirling with a quiet, desperate affection. "And if I tell you right now that I am dangerously, entirely in love with you... how would you translate that?"
Y/N smiled, a soft, rare thing that made Kaiser’s heart stagger in his chest. They reached up, their hand covering his where it rested against their cheek, their thumb lightly brushing the lowest petal of the blue rose on his neck.
"I wouldn't soften a single word," Y/N whispered. "I'd tell you to say it exactly as you mean it."
Kaiser let out a breath that sounded like a laugh, the sound vibrating with pure, uncomplicated joy. He leaned across the table, closing the final inch between them, pressing his lips to Y/N’s.
It wasn't a demanding kiss, nor was it theatrical. It was slow, grounding, and deeply human. For the first time in his life, Michael Kaiser didn't need to scream to prove he existed. He didn't need a nod or a shake of the head. He just needed this, the quiet, perfect certainty of being understood perfectly, without needing translation at all.
