It's... Not too thought out though (like most of my aus)
Basic idea was "What if Nivanfield... But they both become B.O.W.-esc mermen?"
The irony that in RE6, Chris (*suffering from Edonia PTSD & amnesiac concussion) was exhibiting the same behaviours that he once rebelled against. This is also why Piers’ death held a significant impact, because he was the one who reminded Chris who he was…and Chris desperately needed that reminder after everything that has happened.
Nivannedyfield but it’s Re2 Leon and Re8 Chris time traveling to just before Re6.
Leon doesn’t understand why his boyfriend seems so much more depressed, and he really hates that he’s suddenly flirting with some rando named “Piers” who Leon had never even heard of.
Chris can’t bear to look puppy dog Re2 Leon in the eyes because he KNOWS how jaded he’ll become in only a few years. He looks at this naively optimistic version of his boyfriend and feels an overwhelming current of guilt knowing that he hadn’t been able to protect him from Ada, Krauser, Saddler, Victor, Zeno, or anyone else.
Piers has no fucking clue what’s going on. He just sees a nearly 50 year old bear trying to get into his pants and is struggling to think at all. There’s also a 22 year old twunk who keeps scowling at him jealously in a way that Piers can’t help but find adorable.
It is the realization of the century when Leon finally realizes they used to be a throuple. It all makes so much sense now.
