It’s Day 3 of Black Breastfeeding Week is til August 31. It’s been many moons since I breastfeed. #flashbackfriday But I still remember what it felt like to struggle with breastfeeding and feeling like I didn’t know what the hell I was doing. 😩 Fun Fact: Before I pursued art heavily, I was a breastfeeding peer counselor in the Washington DC area. I would go to the homes of other Black Mamas and support them with breastfeeding. I started this work because with my eldest son I had many breastfeeding challenges. This is a fond memory with my youngest son who made me feel like a professional breastfeeding mom! 😊 I am no longer going to homes but through my art I will to support #blackmamas feel seen and get the support they need in the Boston area! 📸 @bykuroji You can start bidding, make a donation or buy art now.
