Working on getting my dolls all displayed again. Need to pick up like 3 doll stands for SD and 3 or 4 MSD. It's nice to be able to see them up again. (I moved several months back and they were all still in boxes)
The last picture is also where the monster girl SDs are going, just not enough space until I get more stands.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted, I promise I’m not dead!! To prove it have the first set up picture of the year. I actually took it on January 14th, but forgot to post it... whoops!
17 dolls are mine, the rest belong to my wife, @evafeatherlow. I only got 3 dolls last year, and one technically I ordered the year before, it just took her about 6 months to arrive. All the dolls are legit too!
I’m too lazy right now to list all the sculpts, but if anyone wants to know who is what, just let me know! I’ll happily tell you!
During 2016 we rearranged our living room completely, so our doll displays changed a lot too. Here's the Christmas display setting. 1/6 scale dolls have a winter wonderland theme again, but with slightly different props and better light, too. 1/3 scale dolls are decorating the tree and enjoying tea and treats. We have a lot of exciting new doll related things arriving in 2017, and I can't wait to get my hands on those!
BJD people, do you have any advice for doll displays? I’m hoping to get a transparent box, especially something with UV protection, for my 42 cm doll. Does anyone know if UV protective cases are effective? What about those UV protective sprays you can put on transparent plastic?
I still have four more to try to squeeze in here until I get more shelving...

I do plan to get a proper display cabinet for my dolls, but even then I think the majority would have to stay in box because I don't want to crowd them. Plus, I want a 40-43" ceiling height in the display shelf so that it looks like a 10' tall room for even my tallest dolls, which means maybe 2 sections per cabinet tops - probably 1 because I don't want any close to the floor. Point being, displaying dolls is hard and hella expensive. Mine will just be entombed in box forever.

Found a pair of 20" tall acrylic domes at Homesense, perfect size for my Unoas. And at $13 each in the clearance section; very affordable!
My home is lit a lot with natural light. I want my dolls on display. I bought them to see them. So no...I'm not going to "take care of them" by locking them away in the dark. If they yellow so be it. I don't get sacrificing enjoyment to preserve value. If I wanted something to cash in later I'd go get a savings bond
