True BJD Confessions

After somebody talking shit about me and my bjd's i sold all my recasts (which i never really showed online or talked about them) and now i just own 3 legit dolls. I hope people stop being assh*** to me and leave me alone now. Sry but all those stupid fights are annoying and doesn't help people enjoying the hobby. I deleted all my accounts and maybe, in some month, i can enjoy my 3 remaining dolls online again.

I heard m0nstr0d3sign’s minifee is a recast? Is this true can anyone confirm?

I just saw that Meanae was banned and had to laugh, on all dollmeets i met her she told and showed people her recasts. She lied about other doll-owners (some are banned on doa just because of HER lies) and she is still buying \helping people with buying those awful dolls!

I wanted to just "test" if like BJDs enough so I got a recast. A week later, she is on her way. But then I saw another girl that I adored, and ordered another recast. But this time the seller said it will take at least a couple of months. So now, I am sitting at home with a legit copy of the second girl... Before any of the recasts arrived. I over-payed for my legit doll because she came from a re-seller... but I love her to bits! :D But now I don't know what I'll do with the two recasts...

Confession: I am really fucking stupid. My first bjd was a recast. At the time i didn't know why that was a problem and i didn't think about it, which already shows i'm not v smart.

"Recast-neutral" (adj.) 1. I personally don't plan on stealing but it's none of my business if other people do. 2. I don't believe art theft is a real problem, so I imagine there's no contradiction between "supporting" an artist with nice Thoughts & Prayers and turning a blind eye to the theft of their work.

It feels good to say I have a legit doll. I don’t feel weighed down. I feel in a way, free. I’m incredibly happy. I know some people would find it silly but I do feel happy and content for once. I don’t feel guilty or anything anymore.

I left the hobby for a few years, and now that I’m back, there are some new people that make videos that I just absolutely cannot stand to watch their content or see it come up in searches. I hate this one person on YouTube so much, irrationally so. Their mods are ugly, they never really “finish” a doll, it’s just money wasted and sculpts that ACTUAL hobbyists could have collected and made beautiful. I’m pretty sure most of their dolls don’t even have clothes or a wig. Their whole vibe is also just very cult-like and unsettling. Their video thumbnails always look like they’re about to bite someone, and they come up in pretty much any BJD related search results.

I just bought my first bjd!! Its ringdoll Wo Long military verison (full set) !! He was so much money but I've been saving for about a year trying to find the perfect doll! And I finally decided who to get <3 !! Im so exicted to get him hes so pretty!! Ive been into this community for about 4 years and Im SO EXICTED to finally have one!! I dont think I'll ever customize him or anything (im not really artsy) but im exicted!!

about a decade after buying a second-hand DD, she's still the best purchase i've ever made and the favourite thing i own. i appreciate her more all the time.

I actually love smart dolls and always have. I’m a sucker for a pretty anime lady and smart doll’s design is just that to me. I think a lot of things Danny does are blown out of proportion, though that doesn’t mean you aren’t entitled to your opinion. If I ever got one, though, I’d only ever order a doll. Clothes being priced even MORE than what they’d cost for a real person isn’t my cup of tea

I hate how more than 10 years after the bjd hobby started and became a thing, we still use Volks terms. Especiall normal skin. I mean come on, if that isn't racist then I don't know what is.

You know who i miss in this hobby? Jade Citron Rouge. I live for dark, gothic, horror mods and her aesthetic was perfect to me. Sad I didn't get to commission her when she was active.
