H.R. GIGER
Anatomy diagram of the Deepest Body (Summa Corpus) of a large warframe class cybertronian (Tarn specifically).
I worked on this as my final for my Biomedical Illustration class, and researching for this project is how I found out that we put jet engines in tanks. And also that jet engines are extremely different from automotive engines in almost every way so, now I know a lot of shapes of engines but still a bit lost on how they work. Had a lot of fun thinking through how a Cybertronian body works though, I must say :)

“Normoxic”, meaning normal amount of oxygen delivery, has gotta be one of my favourite words biologists have come up with it’s so silly I love it
for anyone entering the biomedical field and you are scared of the future because of where the world is right now and how certain, well, people. treat your education path, I want you to know that your fears are valid. while we may not have educational funding like we used to any more, just remember, you are vital to healthcare. whether you are working on medicine, cancer research, technology or prosthetics, you will always be important. people still need medicine. people still need their omnipods and pacemakers. people will still need organs. I am telling you as someone who is only a couple classes short of a bachelors degree, you are still important. don’t let anyone scare you out of doing what you are passionate about. this field needs people passion, don’t let people ruin that sparkle for you. I promise you, us older BME kids are rooting you on and are here to support you through it. we are also scared, and we understand what you are feeling.
