Carpal Bones and Tarsal Bones

Hello Everyone!

I was having difficulty remembering all the different names for the carpal and tarsal bones so I decided to draw out the bones myself and label them. Although I think I am more familiar with some of them I will still have to study them quite a bit. I am technically on my mid-semester break right now but I have various uni things that I plan on completing over this break.

CARPAL BONES 

Made of 2 rows of carpal bones :

Proximal (L->M) -- Scaphoid, lunate, triquetral, pisiform 

Distal (L->M) -- Trapezium, trapezoid, capitate, hamate 

MNEMONIC:

SHE LOOKS TOO PRETTY TRY TO CATCH HER:

SHE ------ SCAPHOID (Most frequently fractured carpal bone)

LOOKS -- LUNATE (most commonly dislocated carpal bone) 

TOO ----- TRIQUETRAL 

PRETTY - PISIFORM

TO ------- TRAPEZOID 

CATCH -- CAPITATE
