I’ll save the full drink recipe (it’s an alcoholic beverage called Bilge. it’s like grog, but grosser, and it uses seawater.) for a @the-perpetual-minutes post when it becomes relevant, but for the “homemade seawater” portion, the ocean is about 3.5% salinity, so just make a 3.5% brine, where a Liter (1000 mL) of brine would have 35 grams of salt and the rest water. (don’t actually make/drink a Liter of this).

for a more manageable size, it’s roughly a teaspoon of salt in 2/3 cup water. maybe throw in a strip of dried seaweed snack & some ice cubes.
