It’s one of those days where like, I broke an egg on the floor and just sat down and cried. I have enough eggs, and I got paper towels and I can clean it up and it’s not a big deal, and I know all this.
But I still just bawled until my cat almost stepped in it, and I could just use a distraction.
There’s not anything bad going on, I’m not having a hard time, and I’m not sick, but apparently I just crying over a broken egg and I could use something different to think about ^^;

Sooooo random big news! I moved to New York City! Haven’t talked about it much on here but it’s been in the works for a while ever since my love @lili__fang got accepted into a fellowship program at Columbia. She got an apt in Manhattan and very graciously offered me to live with her for the next 2 years while she completes her program. So I decided to move with her to NYC! It was a hard decision to leave Chicago. I’ve lived in Chicagoland my whole life and this city and community are my heart and soul (always will be). Also, it’s been a dream of mine to live in NYC at some point in my life. I wasn’t sure if/when I’d ever have the chance again soooo I decided to make the leap! It’ll be a change and a challenge in some ways but I’m excited for this new chapter of life.
Chicago family, see you later for a little while after (AFTER!!) one final Chicago show next month August 28th at Lincoln Hall. It’ll be my LAST show in Chicago for a hot min. So PLEASE stop by and say hello and goodbye (for now) and wish me a warm sendoff. I would love to share space with you and give you a BIG (vaccinated) hug before I go ❤️❤️❤️ Here’s to new beginnings in 2021!

LO was up all the time (6h more then he would be on a regular day). But now he’s asleep and I hope we will get over jetlag in no time. I try to stay awake a little longer - should do something useful while LO is asleep (who knows if he really sleeps through the night as he is totally overtired). But I‘m just soooo tired 🥱
