âScoffers and False Prophets in the Last Daysâ
đ 2 Peter 3:3 â âIn the last days scoffers will come, following their own evil desires.â -
Peterâs warning is alive today. The Church faces a new breed of false prophets â those who wave flags instead of crosses, shout politics instead of repentance, and prophesy from pride, not from the Spirit.
These self-appointed âapostlesâ and âprophetsâ of the New Apostolic Reformation claim divine visions of national destiny, yet they deny the heart of the Gospel: humility, mercy, and love. They promise revival through power, not through repentance. They speak of kingdoms on earth, but not of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Christian nationalism has become their altar. They preach dominion, not discipleship. They anoint politicians as saviors and call vengeance âjustice.â But Peter said their words are empty, boastful, and deceptive (2 Peter 2:18). They make merchandise of the Gospel â selling prophecy, exploiting fear, and turning faith into profit.
These are the wells without water, clouds without rain â loud voices with no Living Water inside (2 Peter 2:17). They scoff at compassion, mock the poor, and despise the command to love one another. They say, âGod is on our side,â while trampling the very people Christ came to save â immigrants, the poor, the persecuted, the broken, and the outcast.
Peterâs call is clear: âMake your calling and election sure.â (2 Peter 1:10)
Not through flags or movements, but through faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, and love. Those who walk in these things will never stumble.
Scoffers ask, âWhere is His coming?â But the Lord is not slow â He is patient, not wanting any to perish. His judgment will come swiftly upon all who twist His Word for power.
So let the Church return to Christ alone â not to false apostles, not to self-made prophets, not to political idols. Let us grow in grace and truth, looking for the new heavens and the new earth where righteousness dwells (2 Peter 3:13).
đïž The true Gospel doesnât seek control â it seeks the Cross.
