Mal’s a firebender who’s mother is an army commander. Very very rich. Very powerful. First since Azula to have different coloured fire. This time bright emerald green. Doesn’t know who her father is.
Jay’s an earth bender from the upper ring of ba sing se. His fathers a relative of the earth king
Carlos is an airbender. Hasn’t got his arrows yet
Evie’s a waterbender from the northern tribe. The first princess who can bend. Betrothed to a private in the army (chad) but longs for adventure. Ben’s stepsister
Doug’s a non bender from the middle ring. His family makes up part of jay’s house staff. He and jay have been friends for years
Lonnie is a Kyoshi warrior
Jane is a non bending nomad air acolyte
Chad is a private in the northern water tribe army. Not very good. But his family is influential and that’s what Grimhilde cares about
Audrey is a wealthy non bending earth kingdom heiress. Who’s very happy where she is. Been forced to socialise with jay since birth. They hate each other. She despises dirt. He thinks she’s a prissy little know it all.

Uma’s a healer from the northern tribe. Hates that she was forced into that pigeonhole. So she makes a name for herself by making anything that challenges her obsolete
Storyline: Ben’s father is power hungry maniac and aims to use Ben’s destiny to conquer the rest of the nations. Ben runs away with fire and air left to learn. He and Evie make it to the fire nation and seek the help of the greatest firebender alive. Mal. Then to the earth kingdom where they meet Jay and Doug and Lonnie. In Republic city they meet Jane Carlos and Gil. Grimhilde and Adam (married) sent chad after the runaways. Along the way he met Audrey. Huma meet when she arrives in the south to help after a flu epidemic.
