So here’s some Heartstopper trivia for the Americans out there.
“Bellend” (also written bell-end) is British slang for dickhead. Like it literally means head of a dick, but also refers to someone acting like a dickhead.
This ENTIRE time—since HS season 1 came out–I genuinely thought it was synonymous with “bellhop” and I thought it was kind of rude for Tao to be insinuating Harry was a lowly carrier of someone else’s suitcases 😳
But I have also always thought Tao was somewhat of a bellend, so there you go. See me using my newfound term? My American ass is going to be throwing that insult around and confusing the fuck out of my “mates” just for funsies.
Also, here. Take my Narlie drawing du jour, lovingly crafted for some beautiful friends of mine who are also equally Heartstopper obsessed, but all of whom already knew what bellend meant. Sigh.
