ANNOUNCEMENT: I will most likely not be able to post for around a week due to traveling (no wifi). Fear not, I’ll be studying to memorize the information and grammar concepts on quizlet and my notes. I will post at my return (probably in one large post detailing how I studied because I won’t have time to make study notes for each day)

“I’m sorry” in Korean!
죄송합니다만 [joe-song-ham-ni-da] - I am sorry/I apologize
The phrase is made up of two segments: 죄송 (apology, shamefulness, being sorry) and 합니다 (I do) to make up “I’m sorry.” But this doesn’t mean it can be used the same way it is in English!
죄송합니다 can only be used when you want to apologize for something, not when you want to say “I’m sorry to hear that.”
