5 Minutes of Korean - Day 8
“I’m sorry” in Korean!
죄송합니다만 [joe-song-ham-ni-da] - I am sorry/I apologize
The phrase is made up of two segments: 죄송 (apology, shamefulness, being sorry) and 합니다 (I do) to make up “I’m sorry.” But this doesn’t mean it can be used the same way it is in English!
죄송합니다 can only be used when you want to apologize for something, not when you want to say “I’m sorry to hear that.”

5 Minutes of Korean - Day 7
“Goodbye” in Korean!
존댓말 [jon-daet-mal] - Goodbye (formal/polite)
안녕히 계세요 [an-nyeong-hi ge-se-yo] - Goodbye (when you are leaving)
Literal translation: “Stay in peace”
안녕히 가세요 [an-nyeong-hi ga-se-yo] - Goodbye (when you are staying/the person you are addressing is leaving)
Literal translation: “Go in peace”

Handwriting practice today! It’s still messy, but I think I’ll get better.
5 Minutes of Korean - Day 1
I want to improve my Korean this year, so I’ve made it a goal to spend at least 5 minutes a day practicing! I’m starting from the very beginning and I want to see how much I grow throughout the year. Join me if you like ♡
