OFFICE HOURS I never set an actual move-to-west-coast date. I basically had a conversation with my parents some time last year about renting from them, packed 2 suitcases and followed the opportunity I saw waiting for me in California. I could not be stopped after they gave me the OK. All I needed was a roof over my head and I’d figure the rest out. Anything I’ve earned I’ve put back in pursuit of opportunity and to intentionally connect and cultivate the relationships that really meant something to me. There is nothing sexy about my situation or the city I live in; I am SoCal based and I don’t mean LA. I live in a city that’s next to the city that’s claim to fame is Michelle Kwan ⛸ and the original multi-level Forever21 lol. I’m putting it out there bc most of the time, the gram only shows the pretty side of things. Despite my general excellent taste (haha! Merchant life tho) and my constant movement (traveling office), life is actually not as structured, secure, or easy as the IG feed seems. I don’t live life with a pretty filter, although sometimes it makes me look really contoured and I appreciate that lol. I am, however, highly motivated and willing to challenge & change the convo around me. IG is my community tool and I obsess over it like anyone else, but my goal is for it is to reflect my real life as best as possible. My evolving lifestyle is something I’m proud of; I’m growing up in a lot of ways and speaking on my hardships in a comical yet inspiring way to even help me out, a little #getitboo, to re-center myself. So what I’m saying is, my life is really just a start up in every regard!! While my desk needs upgrading and my house is in mid-renovation, I’ve made my office as conducive to my productivity as possible. I have a hammock as a couch for now!! And for all the Asians judging my shoes in-house, I actually just took those vans out for the first time that day, hahaha. Don’t play me. #TBT to what’s really still the same situation lol.
