Connor liked to watch Mack during games—liked to watch him rub the cotton towel all over his dripping face, liked to watch him shove his damp hair off of his forehead. Even after games Connor liked to watch him drip sweat all over the ice, a steady trickle that was borne from the nape of his neck and sputtered to its death on the way down.
He wondered what it would taste like, sometimes, if it would be as salty as his own or if it would have a different tinge to it because it was Mack’s.
