𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲. . Life is not this joyous for everyone. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲. Not in the ability to own materialistic items or visit far reaches of the globe, but to be deprived of the privilege that life should inherently be good from the start. Not all children have that option. Not all people get that chance either because we as humans do it to one another. That is shameful. . Sure I’ve worked my tail off and earned each step along the way without stepping on others, but my life has not been a struggle. We lived with in-laws in the beginning and my parents became financially fortunate through avenues of their own hard work. It wasn’t handed out, but that privilege to seek it out was there. Their accomplishments are no less worthy in my eyes, but I’m very cognizant of the opportunities afforded to me throughout this life. I do not for one moment take it for granted and hold the 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐠𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬. . I see people as inherently good until they prove themselves otherwise. They are the minority across the globe, but it exists and we cannot turn a blind eye to their failures. Our cognitive choice as humans is the ability to see one another as living, breathing replicas of ourselves with unique changes yet nothing less than ourselves. Whether it’s your country of origin, religious choice, view points on the weather or the more obvious color of your skin, we all function using the same biological principles sharing the same planet. To neglect the most basic principles of humanity in that we are all the same should be your focus. It takes actual effort to go against the laws of nature, so make life easy by doing the right thing. Stop cheating others of the same life we should all be able to share. . I cannot change the world. You cannot change the world. But we can all change ourselves and that is how the world actually changes. Take care of humans like they’re your own children because those other humans will one day impact your kids in their own choices. We live life embracing the many shades of grey. Somewhere between the black and white, we find ourselves somewhere between dark and the light that is emblematic of human life.
