i think thereβs a lot to think about from that scene alone. we as humans tend to overlook emotions. being sad is widely viewed as a sign of weakness, but for barbie?
itβs power.

This is the Barbie quote that hit me hardest as a Latina who has always struggled to see βmeβ in the science/medical fields I want to be a part of. A girl who latches on to any Latina in stem I can find because it feels so good to be represented and/or to have peers that understand you. This quote is what happens when girls or minorities donβt have that representation growing up.
