Meddling Kids (a goxman fanfic)
@thenonehater (here you go have some shenanigans with everyone’s favorite shirtless human and his cyborg, also imma do the thing and become ruler of hell just u wait)
Well, this was certainly not how he'd planned for the date to go...
Mr. Gar sighed heavily and pinched the bridge of his nose tightly, trying to control the redness on his face as his (not so) evil boyfriend cooed at the baby ducks. They'd just come to see the sunset in the park and instead wound up paying way too much money for a sack of bread crumbs just so Lord Boxman could feed the tiny birds. As annoyed as he was for not being able to be romantic with his boyfriend and kiss him right as the sun dipped below the horizon, he had to admit that seeing the normally sneering cyborg baby talk some fuzzy ducks was pretty darn cute.
And then the universe seemed to realize that Mr. Gar was smiling a genuine smile, for once at peace, and threw a curveball at him in the form of a very loud, very excitable child. Who might this child be, you ask? It's none other than KO, the child of Mr. Gar's old flame, Carol. Of course, the little guy would be walking in the park on the one day he went and decided to take his boyfriend out for some fun. KO let out a gasp at the sight of his boss and his so called enemy, his eyes getting a familiar starry look in them as he raced over as fast as his stubby legs would allow.
"Lord Boxman! Mr. Gar! What are you two doing here?", he asked, tugging at the cyborg's lab coat in order to get his attention. The two adults looked at each other, an awkward silence growing between the two as they waited for the other to come up with a good explanation. Suddenly, Darrel came rushing over, grumbling under his breath as he picked KO up.
"Dude! When you're spying on somebody, you can't just run out there and ask what's going on!", he explained, giving the littlest hero a stern look. Mr. Gar felt his face scrunch up in confusion, his boyfriend tensing slightly at his side. The two had been... Spying on them..?
"But Darrel...", KO whined, making a very convincing puppy sound as he hit the robot with his "I did nothing wrong" eyes. Lord Boxman was still struggling with the fact that his son and KO had somehow managed to get the drop on him, a weird mixture of pride, embarrassment, and slight horror filling him. Wherever Darrel was, Shannon and Raymond were never too far behind...
As if on cue, the other robot siblings popped up out of nowhere in an almost cartoonish fashion. They were giggling to themselves as Darrel huffed, forcing himself to look away from the innocent eyes of death that KO had. The entire situation was far too much, and Mr. Gar finally remembered how to speak.
"What on earth is going on here?!?", he snapped, glaring at the children as they finally regrouped. KO had the modesty to at least look ashamed for spying, but the robot children looked absolutely gleeful in their conquest.
"Oh please, the tension between the two of you is thick enough I could saw through it!", Shannon retorted, letting out a little snort of laughter.
"She's right for once, Dad! You guys are really bad at keeping secrets, too. It's kinda obvious that you're sneaking out to meet with someone when you spend half an hour giggling at your phone before you rush out.", Darrel added. Mr. Gar turned to give Lord Boxman a look, one of his eyebrows raising slightly. Lord Boxman gave a very eloquent sputter in response. Raymond opened his mouth to speak, but then thought better of it and covered KO's ears first.
"Frankly, we've been wondering how much of this rivals thing was just a cover-up for some scandalous affair.", he commented, smirking at the indignant sounds the two made. He uncovered KO's ears right afterward, giving them no chance to respond with what was really on their minds.
"You're grounded, all three of you!", Lord Boxman finally barked out, his face almost as red as Darrel's paint. The robot children let out a collective groan at that statement, looking quite dejectedly at the ground. "I can't believe my own children!", he continued, sounding really angry as he gave them a dismissive wave. Mr. Gar couldn't help but grin when he caught onto what his boyfriend was doing, and gave KO a single slow shake of his head.
"I expected better from you, KO.", he said, barely able to keep it together when the robot children let out insulted gasps in unison. "But... I do have to give you props for being able to follow us. Your stealth stat must have improved greatly.", he added, ruffling the kid's hair gently. KO just stared up at Mr. Gar in awe, his eyes going all starry again from the compliment. Oh man, Rad would be so jealous when he told him about this!
"I must admit, I am impressed with you three. Being able to sneak around without me noticing? I've raised you very badly.", Lord Boxman said, his upper lip twitching into a smile as his children pulled them all into a crushing group hug. He listened to them prattle on about how happy they were since he was proud, his eyes eventually meet Gars. Alright, so maybe it hadn't been a super romantic date like he'd wanted it to be. Still, the store manager had to admit that it was definitely the most interesting one they'd had. And at least he didn't have to keep making excuses as to why he left work early now, he was sure Enid was getting suspicious.
"Does this mean we call Mr. Gar Mr. Dad now?", Darrel asked innocently, not understanding why Lord Boxman and Mr. Gar turned beet red at the question. OK began planning a second wedding, chattering happily with Raymond and Shannon on what the theme would be.
The two boyfriends were very lucky to not suffer from strokes after that particular date.
