Lord X breathes heavily, cursing under his breath, he was furious, how could someone as strong as him get hurt at the hands as someone as weak as Bandado's minion, Lord X straightens up, ready to fight back as he sees Bandido grinning at him while preparing to throw a punch at Lord X. Without thinking you run towards your lover, it's sudden and none of the three entities standing were expecting your presence. Lord X tries to push you away, but you hold his smaller body tightly towards yours, accidentally digging your nails on his open wound, he grunts.

"What do you think you are doing?!" he stares at you, his red cross eyes fixated on you.

"I can help, please, let me help you" you beg, as you take your hands off his wound, you stare at him, pleading with your eyes, but he’s not having it.

"I told you to hide, why are you always this stubborn?"

Bandado is laughing and mocking Lord X: "How pathetic, see how low you have fallen, X"

You ignore Bandado, and sit on the cold ground with your close, Lord X directs his hand at you, ready to teleport you back into his castle, but before he can, a bright light envelops your body. Lord X hand slowly moves away from you as he stares at your now, bright form.

Then, he feels a warm and calming sensation as he feels your hands over his wound, you carefully brush it, making the wound slowly close itself until disappearing and the fur around it to grow back, as if nothing happened.

Bandado ignoring what is going on, run towards Lord X ready to send him flying away with his fist, but Lord X, now recovered, quickly fights back by transforming into his true form, a tall and purple skeleton with multiple eyes covering his body and long limbs, he emanates a strong and unsettling energy. You open your eyes as you feel sad energy, and gasp, you've never seen this side of him before, you've heard people speaking about his true form, and you had a few ideas of what that could mean, but nothing prepared you to witness this form of Lord X, your lover.

Before you are even able to stand up, Bandado has decomposed right in front of your eyes, he didn't even have time to realise what was going on, one second he was running towards Lord X and then next both him and his minion were gone.

Lord X turns to you, still in his true form, and smiles at you. You don't feel fear, after all, he is your husband no matter the shape he takes. You stand up and run towards him, hugging him tightly. Lord X breaks the hug and kisses you, cold lips pressing into your warm lips as he touches your face with care, you break the kiss and stare at his eyes and before you can speak, he stops you.

"How long have you been hiding your powers from me, my dear?" 

"Hide? I would never, my Lord...it's just..." so many things were running through your mind, you have always had these powers, healing magic passed down from generation to generation in your family. But then, why didn't you tell him about it? It was obvious, fear, there were days were you were feeling imposter syndrome, Lord X is this strong, god-like entity, with so much power and influence over all beings across the multiverse, and then, there was you, his human spouse, people had high expectations of you when the rumours about Lord X and his partner were spreading, you remember the look on their eyes as they saw you, you knew what they were thinking, weak, how could someone as weak as you, end up with Lord X, and you were as confused as them.

"...so?" Lord X said.

You snap out of your thoughts, and stare at him, he sees doubt in your eyes.

"Tell me, have I ever made you doubt yourself?" he says, as if he read your mind.

You stutter: "N-no, never, its just-"

"Then?"

You swallow that feeling of embarrassment: "What can someone like me even do in a fight, for so long i thought if i trained hard enough, maybe one day i could fight side by side with you, yet...its never enough, i can only heal, im so pathet-"

He silence you with a kiss, his empty void-like eyes stare at yours: "There is nothing to fix, you are perfectly made and compliment me, you see my dear, this old body of mine is slowly breaking down, my strength has become greater than this body can withstand, but knowing that you are able to heal me, you are my ultimate force multiplier"

You blush at his words.

"Your healing is beyond a 'fix', you revitalise my old and torn down body, I will now be able to push the limits of reality, with you by my side" he kisses your hand and slowly returns to his original form.
