blaze's official bio has her weight listed as "i'm not telling you that!" which suggests the bios are written by those interviewing the sonic cast and asking stuff to them such as "what are your interests?" etc.
thus it's probable that metal sonic's bio have that blurb of "thanks to sonic and his friends" and claiming he's not sentient is because of eggman is the one that gets interviewed about metal sonic (obviously metal sonic wouldn't be able to give out an interview) which he claims sonic with his friends totally helped him and metal sonic isn't sentient anymore despite the contrary
however that still paints a bad look: the fact whoever interviewed with eggman and made that bio for metal sonic, they just easily accepted that sonic willingly helped eggman to do lobotomy which implies people in sonic world are fine with sonic doing whatever as long it benefits them and the person in question is bad person as in making metal sonic not a threat alongside just because it is sonic is doing it
goes to show folks in sonic world will always agree with sonic no matter what and it's a good thing that sonic's a good person as he wouldn't abuse that people will agree with letting him to do whatever he wants just because he's the world famous hero sonic
This is making me want to make an OC that's just whoever interviews characters in universe lol. I may do that later actually...
And this makes me more mad with Eggman, and unfortunately it is so in character for him to put part of the blame on Sonic, like "yeah he totally helped me reprogram Metal so if you have any complaints go bother him about it, not me", and of course he'd deny Metal still being sentient despite it being painfully obvious that he still is, because you can't get him to admit to struggle to keep Metal in line, of course he wouldn't!
