Long time Sims 2 player complaint:
Now, I'm happy that a lot of people are experiencing the sims 2 AND 1 for the first time ever, I truly am happy people are getting to play. However, I can't lie that it's a little bit annoying seeing some of the big youtubers play it and their reactions, lack of knowledge on it but pretending they know what they're doing because they played it 15 years ago as a kid? Or how they're now making tons of videos on how to do things or how to play the game when there's a whole community out there who have these videos on their channels, there's no acknowledgement of the sims 2 community and how amazing they are, there's no credit to modders or people who made this game playable while EA continued to ignore our pleas to fix stuff? Am I the only one feeling this way? Idk, I'm not jealous at all, I know if I dropped a youtube video tomorrow, I'd have my community celebrating with me.... I guess I'm just a bit salty and annoyed watching sims 4 players act the way they are about TS2....not like it's been around since 2004 or anything. Smh, I've been in such a bad mood this week (real life related stuff, not cause of the sims lol)... and it's starting to spill out everywhere lol...
I cried at school ┐('~`;)┌
It’s such a small thing, but it doesn’t feel small when it happens.
You can be having a decent day, or even a good moment, and then something shifts. Something someone says, the way they say it, a tone, a reaction… and suddenly it sits with you.
And it lingers.
Even if you try to brush it off, it keeps replaying a little. It changes the way the rest of the day feels. What was light starts to feel heavier. What was easy starts to feel off.
And sometimes it’s frustrating too, because you know it “shouldn’t” affect you this much. But it still does. You can’t just switch it off and go back to how you were before.
That doesn’t make you sensitive in a bad way. It just means things reach you.
And moments like that don’t erase the good that was there before. They just interrupt it for a while.
You are allowed to feel thrown off. You are allowed to take a moment to reset instead of forcing yourself to be okay again immediately.
You don’t have to carry what someone else brought into your space for the rest of your day. Even if it takes a little time, you can let it pass through without letting it settle permanently.
Maybe it’s stepping away for a bit. Maybe it’s doing something familiar and grounding. Maybe it’s just letting yourself feel it without judging it so it can move on naturally.
Your mood isn’t ruined forever. This moment doesn’t get to define the rest of your day unless you let it.
You can still find your way back to something softer. Slowly, in your own time 🤍
