Scoliosis
Welp.
I finally went to a doctor to address the nerve disturbances I've been ignoring and denying for about 2 years. My dad has MS and I was in deep denial that I could possibly have it too. Turns out I don't, thank goodness, but I do have *drumroll* idiopathic scoliosis and lordosis! Woo!
Explains why I've had chronic back pain for 4 years.
It's good to know. But it's frustrating. When I first tried to address my back pain years ago the physical therapist asked me if I had scoliosis during my assessment. But since everyone had missed the mark previously I left there with her and I believing that I didn't have it.
What's even more frustrating is that my curve isn't even that bad. Somewhere between 10°-20°. Not surgery worthy in the slightest, and I'm grateful that it's not. But I'm still in a ridiculous amount of pain all day everyday. The muscle relaxers I've relied on up to this point are becoming more ineffective and school is starting soon.
It's just...frustrating.

Now that we can see living fascia imagine that matrix a 360 degree flexible balance system for the entire body. A single system of levers & pullies affecting and influencing each other. So, let's say I hurt my knee during a work out, wouldn't that affect my thigh or hip? Or if I sprain an ankle won't that also compromise my knee... Many clients who come in with lower back pain have not suffered a back injury. Often it is a knee or a shoulder injury that's causing the trouble. Fascia is an amazing and infinite wealth of information. . #wiingsbyneyda #fascia #cellular #cells #muscles #tissues #endoscopy #spinal #spinalcordinjury #flexibility #humanbody #organs #humananatomy #backinjury #backproblems #kneeinjury #musclepain #skeletal #nervoussystem #nerves #greatread #jeanclaudeguimberteau #colinarmstrong #doctors #medicine

Ooc: quick sketch done after work. Guh my back is aching from sitting still so long.
We often take simple things like walking without pain for granted. Today super excited because today my wife is walking around like a champ. Taking a stroll isn’t without pain yet, but things are looking up and this will help us assess some other spine issues. For now we need to get back in shape and figure out how to roadtrip without sitting too much. ••• Owens Lakebed • • • • #adventurebeckons #395north #395 #hwy395 #owens #backproblems #healing #sierraNevada #easterncalifornia #letsgosomewhere #livefolk #travelstoke #owenslake #owensriver #owensvalley (at Owens Lake)
