One of my favourite places for spotting: A #BACityFlyer #Embraer190 powering down the runway at #LondonCityAirport as she begins her 55 minute hop up to #BelfastCityAirport last summer. Following yesterday's announcements, #BritishAirways will once again link #LondonCity with both Jersey and Guernsey this summer with their #E190 aircraft on Mondays and Fridays alongside new routes to Luxembourg, Barcelona, Milan Malpensa and Thessaloniki. Night time at #SouthamptonAirport as a #BACityFlyer #Embraer190 rests on the apron overnight. As many people will know, #BA CityFlyer are based at #LondonCity, however the airport closes between Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes due to flight curfew rules. Following the demise of #Flybe, BA have based a number of their aircraft at Southampton over the weekends to operate various routes to destinations around Europe. Rather than fly empty between #LCY and #SOU, the aircraft all fly out of London to European destinations on Friday afternoon/ evening and then operate inbound flights to Southampton, where they are based over the weekend.
