Prepping Juneteenth with Mark!
You and Mark decided to host Juneteenth this year! Here’s how the two of your prepare:
Decorating!
This is Marks first time celebrating. He didnt want to embarrass himself or you, so he kind of just…bought everything even remotely Juneteenth related.
You cackled while looking at the Juneteenth spoons and forks Mark was taking out of the box that had arrived at your doorstep a few minutes ago,
“Was is necessary to get Juneteenth spoons mark?”
“Yes! How will they know its a Juneteenth celebration if the utensils arent themed?”
“Red, green, and black utensils were also an option honey.”
“Not in this house!”
Cooking!
Mark helped you make everything, even the things that didn’t require him.
“Do you need any help?”
“Does it look like I need help Mark?”
“I just want to make sure you aren’t bearing the weight of doing all the work!”
“Mark…It’s coolaid”
Music!
You were gather together your playlist for the part, adding artists like Doechii, Beyoncé, Tems, Monaleo, etc. You told Mark to leave the music to you, but of course—after a lot of begging—you let him play one song for you to decide if you’d add it.
His finger tapped the play button and the music filled your ears,
