I'm back with the redesigns, and this time the full trio is here ^^ They really deserve better clothes, and obviously ones that fit their vibe. I said before Gwen would be whimsigoth, and now i'll continue by saying Ben is definitely a streetwear guy, and Kevin is alt; probably more on the metal side.

power fantasy

(thinking a lot about bens relationship with his human body. i like uaf trying to assert that ben was still strong and capable w out the watch, but i think it loses an aspect of his character that was always important, that being ben finding himself inadequate and weak in his human form and overusing the watch to escape it. i think thats why the feedback arc hit so hard, bens hatred of himself and his past over something that was never his fault, all stemming from his hatred of his human body. i personally interpret the feedback arc as less of a drug addiction metaphor [which if it is was pretty shittily written] and more of becoming consumed by what youre not. that theme with ben is most of the reason i relate to him and project on to him as a fellow transexual)

Kevin: yes i do

Gwen : how much?

Kevin: a lot

Gwen: more than your car?

Kevin : [ pauses] * places hands over the speakers*

Kevin : * whispering* yes?

Kevin: Probably watching the stars. Girls like that, right?

Gwen : Arcturus...Isn't Lewoda near there?

Kevin: Uh, closer to denebola.

I just noticed this little detail in ultimate alien of how Kevin asks about how girls liking stargazing. From the first pic you can tell by the way he asks Gwen about it that he probably has never done stargazing with her.

And a few episodes later we can see them doing just that. Like he realized Gwen might enjoy looking up at the stars and planets and he wanted her to have that experience with him.

I do headcanin that the night after eunice went with azmuth, Kevin actually stayed up with Gwen and took her to watch the stars while Ben slept. And it sort of morphed into them trying to identify planets as well.
