God forbid i have time for myself and NOT be inconvenienced by some fuckass decision the government made with the planning strategy of a drunkard trying to find north. you could argue i could just go against my schedule and insist on staying up late despite needing to wake up at the ungodly hour of 4 AM but unfortunately for my already disheveled health I DON'T WANNA DIE BECAUSE MY BRAIN IS RUNNING ON HOPES AND DREAMS

my routine is literally this nowadays: wake up, get dressed, go on 2-hour commute in 36 c weather, sit for 5 hours in a lecture that was never intended for people of my group (until that decision was made by gov), go home in the same 2-hour commute 44 c weather, sleep, do chores, eat, do more chores, whoops it's 10 PM go sleep, repeat.

OOOOOOOOOH MY GOOOOOOD!!!!!! WE ACTUALLY PREDICTED IT!!!! 😭😭😭

> have stupid weird mandatory 2-week civics lectures that are for some fucking reason the one thing standing between you graduating and getting your doploma

> learn that you're taking the lectures in a uni different from yours

> learn it takes 2 hours to get there

> lectures start 9.

> ok. Unfortunately I'll wake up at 4 AM to be able to pull this off, especially cause the campus is gigantic and it will take me 20 minutes to reach the hall I'm supposed to go to.

> learn too late that I could have gotten a request to switch to a uni closer to my house (they never mentioned it in any of their pinned messages for the official group for whatever this thing is; this is mandatory for most unis in my country)

> sleep

> wake up at 4 AM as intended

> get message from group admin (who is also moderator of this weird program)

If being a girl's girl means supporting someone who doesn't want to hand out an actual product to sit in front of and look at yet expects any interest from this first impression, then I'd rather not be a girl's girl.

"normalize not skipping artists because of small likes" I'm not skipping you because your art is bad, I'm skipping you because your faith in yourself is so annoyingly low that you felt like you had to resort to lowering yourself like this because your only goal is getting likes. And it's making ME annoyed.

"I spent 20 hours on this. Maybe the algorithm will be kind to me :(" no it won't, not when you don't even want to treat yourself with more respect.

"I would rather you not like this post" ok at your service, skipped.

"pretty please like and share this post so I can make art my full career" not how that works. Have some dignity and start commissions instead of doing this.

And then it's nothing but captions over videos and nothing else. It makes art lose its appeal and diminishes it into a marketing tactic. Why would we ever succumb to this? It feels disrespectful. You spent 20 hours drawing and your tactic is the same as someone following you with a cup in his hand.

And also because of the importance now being placed on virality, the art space is full of nothing but lazy rotoscoped "animations" and memes. Every new art account that pops up is just Diemarchive copied and pasted over and over. It's lame and lazy and disappointing.
