in the image above, found from google images, is pictured a Mexican Red Knee Tarantula. (Brachipelma Smithi). These spiders live mainly in the pacific mountains in Mexico. it feasts on anything it can find that is smaller or the same size as itself! and, females can live to up to *30 years*. They are also a threatened species ;-;
Does anyone know a reliable online shop selling Mexican Redknee tarantulas for a reasonable price? Any shop I can find is either sold out, or are only selling slings and, since I'm fairly new to the hobby, I don't feel comfortable caring for a sling just yet. In addition to online shops, I'd also be interested in breeders or reliable locally owned pet stores in the New Jersey/Pennsylvania area (not chain stores such as Petco or Petsmart as they are known for mistreating animals)
