I have this little AU in my head, but it's not fully worked out yet.
Ok, so, Ozai and Ursa started to secretly date when they were teens, and when they turned 20, they got drunk, eloped, did the deed, and then woke up the next morning. Ursa was fricking out, but ozai calmed her down, and then they both went back home (ursa was staying in a hotel with her parents in the capital) blah blah blah ursa and her parents go back home, Ursa asked to move to the capital by herself to be a grown up ( and so she can see ozai)
She gets there and moves in, and then she finds out she's pregnant and writes a letter to ozai. He goes to her apartment, and they have a fight. They don't talk for a few months, and ursa starts showing, ozai drops by with things for the baby and ursa and apologizes. He keeps visiting her but not too much, so no one suspects anything, but iroh notices but just thinks ozai is hooking up with a girl
A few more months past, and ursa gives birth to a boy and names him zuko, and ozai comes back the next visit and is mad she didn't tell him, but it just makes Ursa laugh and he couldn't stay mad at her. Two years pass with ozai visiting as much as he can, and then they find out Ursa is pregnant again
And this time, ozai is there for the birth, a few years pass and zuko is 6, azula is 4, and ozai and ursa are 26, lu ten noticed is uncle's schedule and then found out he had kids and a wife and forces him to let him meet them. Iroh then finds out because Lu ten has a big mouth, and when Iroh is joking that he may never get cousins, he just had to say that he already does.
Azlon is now trying to find a wife for ozai and sets up a lot of dates, and ozai tells ursa about all of them because it feels wrong not to tell her and of course this cause some problems but they work through it . Next, some newspaper people catch ozai going into ursa's house and hanging out with his family in town, rumors get spread, and azlon is absolutely furious.
Iroh sticks up for his brother as much as he can, azlon then brings ursa, zuko, and azula into the place (the fire wall place, where we see ozai ask for iroh's birthright) ozai gives them proper clothes but the royal clothes and azula and zuko already know porper manners and stuff.
That's it. I don't know how to end it. I want a happy fire family in the end, but azlon isn't a forgiving guy, so I don't know what to do. They may have to kill him and put iroh on the throne. Any ideas?
