Hi! Studyblr! Im Jo!

I’m a freshman at Oklahoma state university!

I graduated high school as valedictorian with 41 college credits, in thanks to many concurrent and AP classes. (Ignore the fact like 9 credits of those are history/geography and are not relevant to my major) During My sophomore and junior years of high school I was enrolled in the PLTW biomedical program. When I was there, I met not only my boyfriend, but also my best friend!

Speaking of that best friend…

She’s going to the same university as me! We’re the same major, and also roommates!

My major? Animal science with a pre-vet pathway. (I’ve worked at a vet since my sophomore year)

My minor? Wildlife ecology.

I love all things art, infectious disease, medical, animals, historical, and ecological. I consider myself a bit of a renaissance man, simply just because of the realms in which my interest lie. I have so many passions in every field.

Long time no post. If I’m being honest, I’m still recovering from my eating disorder and it’s been kicking my ass lately. I’ve also been just very busy. I was the victim of criminal (possibly a felony in my state) impersonation and that’s a whole situation so it’s been a lot recently.

I spent ALL DAY working on my research paper. From getting out of art to time to go to work. Got almost if not all of our sources collected and highlighted and drafted our introduction. At lunch Rindi and I had to go on a side quest to take my grandparent’s neighbor’s dog back home.

This is going on the study blog because I know highly driven and often times academic well preforming people are at a higher risk of eating disorders.

February is eating disorder awareness month, and I have been in anorexia recovery for a little over a year. It sucks, it’s hard, it takes up my money and my time, and I will struggle with it for the rest of my life.

You see all that hair that’s shorter than the rest?

No it’s not bangs that I’m growing out, or a really shitty attempt at short layers.

It’s just the hair that has grown back since I lost my hair in clumps due to malnutrition.

Had a productive day today. Rindi and I figured out how to do the math element of our next chem test. I finished my auction art piece. Now that my insurance is fixed I went to therapy for the first time in a month. Mark talked to my therapist a little with me, she now thinks he’s just the perfect model of a boyfriend for someone in anorexia recovery. Signed up for the next ACT hopes and prayers for that one point increase in math. All I need is a 31. Currently deep conditioning my hair, then I’m going to bake cookies.

This essay I’m writing is going to kill me. This is from Monday, I’m really anxious lately and I don’t know why, I’ve been sleeping early recently. I’m almost finished with my auction art piece. I’m currently pissed because my mythology teacher is assigning an insane amount of work for an online high school 4.0 class that every student is only taking because we need a certain amount of class hours according to state law and taking extra concurrent classes that the school won’t pay for is too expensive.
